The new 3DS XL Pokemon special editions are now available for pre order at Best Buy. I know they are not discounted but based on the past, they look sure to become collectible items and I think that makes this a hot deal.

I hope I can sell my used Pikachu 3DS XL for at least $200 on eBay so I can buy this. Problem is, it has a small dent at the back because my nephew dropped it >_<.

Too bad about the dent. Not sure how it would affect the price. Otherwise, those units sell for between 300 - 400 right now depending on condition, box etc.

The games are not included. They are just limited edition consoles with fancy artwork on the cover. The games will be released later in October.

I'm going to sell mine as well and pick up the blue version.
I checked into re-selling the Pikachu model and it is very popular. I have seen people offering $200 for used ones ones online.

Oh before the inevitable "OMG REGULAR PRICE NO SALE WHY IS THIS IN HOT DEALS????", in Japan these 3ds's were sold out in nine hours of being offered on Amazon Japan, with a special gold version sold out within one hour.

UPDATE: These consoles do not come with the game.
