I just wonder why would anyone pay $85 per month to Rogers while his sub-brand Chatr only cost $40, what do you get from paying $45/mo extra?

How does the $250 trade in credit work? Can I trade in any phone? Normally it would say save "up to" $X after trade-in....I'm surprised by the wording.

Nothing much. but you have to pay ~900 upfront for using a s7E , plus you are not getting the extra bonus, that comes with it. I believe in this case eventually it evens out. You are just paying the up front cost across 24 months.

And as i mentioned its not for everyone, but can help someone.

Curious about the same. Is the trade in different for different phones or is it like Rogers promo? Any working phone would do?

Im waiting for the new note, but this might tempt me.

Yes, you can trade any phone, i spoke with the rep, It can even be a dead phone, does not have to turn on.

"Upto X" would be for the extra $50 after $250. For any phone you straight get $250 credit.

For 2-years term, if I up for the $85 plan (same as $40 plan from Chatr), I am equally paying $1147 (tax in) for the phone and those bonus.

If I buy from Samsung store, the phone and bonus are $892 (tax in), the deference is a solid $255, which I would lose the Gear VR and 128GB sd card.

So I this is an OK deal, if I can make a good use with the Gear VR, but if I want the phone to be unlocked, the deference goes up to $305.

I agree, but have to also factor that difference you are paying over a period of 2 years. so just kind of loan i suppose :)
