Even though we can buy them here in GTA, wish I was in Vancouver to enjoy them there.

none of the coupons would work on the spot prawns; even they sent me a 3% off because i had it in cart...

coupons won't work with spot prawns. Just did a preorder like last year. They were really good last year.

Can anyone comment on the quality/price of the other fish? I may get the Westcoast fish box.

Was anyone able to get a weekend pickup time for Vancouver (False Creek)?

I was only able to see times Monday to Thursday.

Very common is just a light boil and dip in your sauce of choice. For an expensive product I would want to experience its natural taste as much as possible.

Wow! Care to share where you found them for $12/lb... that is staggeringly low and quite frankly unheard of.

We let them soak in white wine for about 20mins and then steam them.

Maggi sauce with chopped up chili peppers as a dip

Says on their website the weekend is reserved for market pricing and not pre-ordered pricing. So I am thinking the weekend is reserved for walk-ups.

No, this company did not offer $12/pound pricing last year.

http://granvilleisland.com/public-marke ... ping-sauce

Chef Robert Belcham, famous for his Spot Prawn Boil at Refuel (Saturdays during the month of May) taught me his simple secret to some of the most succulent prawns ever: Just pour boiling water over a single layer of prawns in a roasting pan until covered. Wait 5 minutes, peel and enjoy.
