What makes freebie a "hot deal"?????

Are you honestly asking "How is something that costs $0 a hot deal?" ? Are your hot deals ones that people pay you to take their merchandise?

Google the difference between "cheap(er)" and "free".

I don't care. Just want to get the words out.

Who knows, might save some lives.

I did, the definition of "free" does seem to match the fact that these items are $0, making the OP correct. I also Googled "What is a better deal than free" and it agreed that someone would have to pay you to make something cheaper than free, making my post accurate.

I'm also curious why "cheap(er)" ever came into the conversation; those words were never mentioned before your post. Did you mean to reply to something else?

If it's something you want or need, and it's free and isn't normally... how can it not be a hot deal? Yes, people whine about semantics, which forum it belongs in, etc. but... TBH it would be a nice feature to be able to combine multiple forums into one feed. One feed of multiple forums, using the awesome hide thread button. Nothing missed...

Thanks got one from my local pharmacy for my mom. You just need their personal health number if they're not with you

My BC experience getting kit from a pharmacy.

Process of getting the free rapid test kit is similar to a prescription.
- Pharmacist enters your health card details if this is your first time at this pharmacy.
- Pharmacist fills the order and hands over the kit.
- I see a $5 fee paid to the Pharmacist.
- You can see rapid test kit in the BC Health Gateway records like your prescribed meds.

??? I was travelling in Abbotsford last Monday (the 7th) and the Walmart was giving them out on the way out of the store.

Now 40 and up and get a free kit while supplies last
BC just lowered the age to 40 years old
Can pick up for others as long as you have their care card info.

Got a stuffy nose? Want to test it to see if you can use your 5 days of paid sick leave? Test yourself!

Is this new? I was in Abbotsford last week and the Walmart was handing them out free at the exit no ID.

Your statement is Highly Unlikely based on how the goverment of BC has set this up in pharmacies. You have pictures or a link showing this Walmart incident?

1) ask anyone +70Yo. They are still showing up to the ER with Covid related events. It may no longer be a concern for those under 70 but it certainly isn’t gone for them.

2) This is new. Covid symptoms are mild and people are coming in waves right now to the cough and cold section of the pharmacy. I can tell you first hand it certainly is not over. The only thing over is the restrictions. Here’s a fun little test for those who don’t believe it until they see it, go take a trip to your local pharmacy and stand next to the cough and cold section for 30 minutes.

3) With spring here, allergies are all around. It’s tough to tell the difference between allergies and Covid as symptoms can be mild for some Covid ppl. With a simple swab you can easily get 5 days off of work for a little sniffle, instead of walking around in denial sneezing all over your seniors.

We've been getting free kits here in Ontario for the past month or so. Every time I'm in Sobeys they offer me one at the check out. I have to decline as I already have about 8 kits with 5 tests. We've (luckily) only had to do about around 5 tests at home over the past year. Not bad for a family of 4 with kids in grade school.
