$80 for 6gig?! Why is this in hot deals?

Pretty sure better deals are to be had for bank employees, as the plans i get are better than this. And I work for one of those banks.

If i recall correctly
Telus has the infinite plans for 67.50 even for 10gb
Rogers has 65$ 6gb with device subsidy

Not sure if they are all available to banks but I'd assume they are

seeing as the pages all say "no contract options available", it's safe to assume these are all prices that comes with a phone. deal doesn't say anything about price of phones, but i'm assuming they're trying to match the rogers 56 dollar deals. i got a s10e and an iphone x for free with my 56 dollar plan for 5 gigs with rogers, sold the iphone x for 850 cash.

using my sale as an example, here's how much the plan costs for me (assuming no required rate of return on cash):
$56 x 1.13(ON tax) = 63.28/month
$63.28 x 24 month = 1518.72
$1518.72 - $850(sale) = $668.72
668.72 / 24 month = 27.86/month
27.86 / 1.13 (ON tax) = 24.66 before tax.

if bell is trying to match the rogers deal i got, then you're looking at a little less than 25 dollars a month for 5 gigs byod equivalent. OR, if you work for rogers, just get what i got with rogers instead.

Cheers.

I don't even bother with my EPP plans available to me as a bank employee. Public Mobile 5 GB for $38 per month is the best deal out there for me.

Depends on how you view things— PM is great as a BYOD option.

If you need a device such as a Apple phone, the $56/5g is a good option as you would pay approx $430 for a Xr.

If your Android, the above would apply as well depending on device .

Again depends on needs of data and device . Most people hate 2 years contracts . But the device subsidy is included here.

I see RBC is still rocking fairy good deals. $55 for Canada/US and 5gb ain’t bad. And $300ish in credits.

so i got my deal back in july, and i think it kept running until end of august atleast. but i was able to get a screenshot of what the current deal looks like, basically the only difference is that they no longer have the iphone x available anymore. but resale value wise the s10e is about the same as the iphone x at this point.

pretty sure this is rbc only, not sure about other banks, but this is DEFINITELY employee only, you'll need a work email or a company paystub to verify your identity. but seeing as this is a bank employee thread, posting here doesn't seem too out of place.

This. These are usually contract deals too.

Honestly, you're better off hunting for deals on your own that are no-contract. You can leave without any penalty to the next deal. This is how we get things like the PM to Koodo migration deal. Smiling Face With Open Mouth
