1000 Mbps Fibre

I do not have a mac. Will a PC or iPad work?

I have vizio P65-F1. That is the thing. I do not own anything else that is less than 720... I was shock when I saw it was 720 and I just can't get used it. I even bought Apple TV and hoping it would be better lol...False hope

I have Rogers 150mb switching soon to Bell 100mb .Rogers wifi is constantly and I mean constantly going down every day. The speed 150mb is actually fine for the 4 of us with 2 gamers and streamers in the house .You don't need gigabit , you're as fast as the slowest point on the internet you're using.
You don't need to use the wireless router part of the Rogers modem. You can use your own wireless access point.

You should have more than enough speed.

You are using an Apple TV 4K?

You need a Mac to enable developer settings and cannot be done with a PC or iPad.

How do you know you are getting 720 from Crave and Fibe? I assume your TV tells you the resolution for the input?

How many devices can stream AltTv at same time? Finding contradicting info on the Internet, from only one to 5 at time.
Can someone that already have AltTV confirm please and thanks!

New customers only. Call and if they don't give it to you, tell them you are cancelling and get transferred to retention (cross your fingers).

Correct. It shows up as 720 when I cast Alt TV to Vizio. It shows up as 2120 when I use Apple TV 4k (by default? I know it is not 4k, but it says it is) What is yours? 1080p?

I use the Apple TV 4K too and it upscales the picture to 2160. I will try to run come tests later to confirm bit rates and resolution.

I finally had a chance to check out the streaming rates for the Bell Fibe and Crave app on an Apple TV 4K.

I attached two screenshots (1 for each source) and the bit rates. As I suspected, Fibe TV was 720 and Crave was 1080.

I did not check all Fibe TV stations so there may me some that stream higher than 720.

The image off Fibe TV looks a bit soft at times but Crave looked pretty good. I'm using both apps with a 4k TV.

I can tell, hence the complaint with what bell is doing.
4K alt tv is apparently only available if you buy their dongle. Not cool.

Why are you disappointed, this is Bell/Rogers/Telus we are talking about.. To get what they advertise you need to buy the most expensive dongle they only sell....

You can't get Alt TV in 4k regardless of the device you use.
