[Bell] Bell Gigabit Fibe 1.5 - 75$ monthly credits - 60 + tax per month after credits - new accounts only - huge YMMV

I was using Bell Gigabit Fibe 1 gig internet service over 6 months ago. I had to cancel and choose other service provider (obvious promo expiry reason).
Recently I casually called Bell to see if they have any good promos, stunned by this offer and immediately ordered the service. What the agent told me was it is available to only selected buildings/addresses, so huge YMMV.
They waived one time modem rental fee, installation fee as well. Was my luck day I think.

Don't get this expecting high speeds...in my neighborhood, I got a max of ~400Mbs...

I just jumped ship to Vidéotron because of this.
Is this thing on?

If it is true fiber to the home, you get the full speed or very close. You were probably limited by networking hardware or wifi, you have to have the right gear to get the max speeds.

Were you using wifi and not gigabit Ethernet? Would be surprised that fibre FTTH would get saturated enough to slow down

My experience with Bell FTTH has been perfect and with advertised speeds

Reminder to take any "deals" from Bell with a grain of salt and to get ready to be a very frustrated, unhappy customer in the long term.

49.95 - 59.95 is a pretty standard offer for Gigabit or Gigabit 1.5 in downtown condominiums as they are competing with Beanfield or another ISP.

Usually never available in the suburbs

Is anyone able to get this deal in a detached home in Toronto? I can never get these types of deals from Bell.

I also prefer to use my own router so I'd actually prefer having the older HH3000.

When they first started rolling fiber out in Toronto (3ish years ago) I was able to get a promo from a rep which is unfortunately expiring in 2 months. The deal was you had to do 3 years locked in and cancelling was expensive, but my bill is 62.09 including tax for gigabit fiber. It was 55 for the first couple of years too.

Not sure if those deals are available anymore however.

Thanks a lot OP !!
Ordered 1 Gigabit Fibe !! I have FTTH.
I am near Hurontario/Eglinton in Mississauga.

Do we know how long this promo is for ? Generally it is for 12 months but it is not written anywhere !!

You also get $100 Visa Prepaid card after 60 days!!

I am on Virgin 100/10 mbps for $35 for 12 months, really worth the upgrade.

Congrats on getting the deal. Did you call in, or get this via chat? And did you have to negotiate to get the prepaid Visa GC?

I have FTTH and in my subdivision only Rogers or Bell are allowed to provide service which limits my options. I was on a 500 / 500 plan with Bell for $60 but couldn't get the same pricing.

Moved to Rogers for $65 for their "500u" plan with Disney+. But after switching I only realized their uploads were capped at 20 mbps and I needed faster uploads for work. Bell did offer me a retention plan but I declined it at first...but after calling back was able to get 500 / 500 and Fibe TV + Crave (incl. HBO and HBO Max) for $75. Originally they quoted me $70 through retention...but couldn't offer that same price for whatever reason. Lesson learned I guess.

Not a fantastic deal, and my options are limited so I'll take what I can get at a decent price. Hoping the CRTC allows internet resellers to use Bell's fiber lines soon.

Sounds like you were on a 3-year business plan. I haven't seen anyone get a FTTH consumer plan for $49.95 without a contract. More than likely, the OP is in a condo.

This is still extremely good. I'm on Bell (not gigabit) and getting at best 25mbps speeds. And I'm paying much more than $60/month. Loyalty does NOT pay.

That's still a good deal. I'm in an older Toronto neighbourhood and the same Bell plan would cost me over $120. I would expect that better deals can be had for former Bell customers rather than current Bell customers.

Yeah I'm not going to complain, i didn't need Fibe TV or Crave but getting HBO included was a surprise. I doubt I will get the same plan in a years time again

Congrats on getting the deal. Are you in a condo? I entered the address for my place and my parents but no luck at either address. Plan with 150 Mbps and FibeTV app is $125.

I've now had it in 2 separate addresses and I've actually gotten higher than the 1.5gbit.

Last speed test to my computer was 1670 download and 1094 upload. 400mbit sure sounds like Wifi speeds.
