Called Bell today and they offered me best deal $5 off my gigabit fibe to a total for $104 / month. Amazing. I told the retention csr that I was paying $60 before and Rogers are willing to match the promo but he wasn't able to do anything. I set cancellation date for end of billing cycle.. so hopefully I'd get a call or something from Bell with better promo.

Honestly bell does not care to retain existing customers if you have a relative in the household who is age of majority have bell setup a new account in their name.
Every 2 years I am switching from existing to new because loyalty offers vs new customer offers have a massive gap in pricing.
Bell and Roger's monopolize Toronto alternatives are slim pickings but they gouge you left right and center for mediocre services.
I have a phenomenal deal right now but it ends Jan 2021 so I am pretty sure I'm screwed.
Better package $75.95 fibe tv with dvr and 1 extra box.
1gb unlimited fibe internet 54.95.
Home phone with caller ID $10.
No clue how to maintain this and doubt they will allow me to keep it.

Similar package but mine expired last month. Internet went from 54.95 to $104.95. Called and they said sorry, promo is over. No new promos are available. They don't because they don't have to. What's the option? Tek-Savvy? Bell/Rogers/Telus are just taking them to court to raise Tek-Savvy's (and other ISPs) costs, therefore our costs.

Unfortunately, between COVID and all the people stuck at home, we are in a vendor market.
As a new Bell customer, in june 2019 I got 1gig Fibe Internet, -$36 no time limit and -$5 for a year, for a total of $54.95, no TV, no phone.
In 17 months, the -$5 one year rebate is gone and I had a single $5 hike. Now at $64.95 for gigabit.
It was through a cold call from a non-Bell company called Nordia that I got this deal, I am north of Montreal.
Less than a week after getting Fibe, I removed the HH3000 to use my own router, see https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31118 ... meHub-3000.
Really glad about the technology, but it's true, Bell has horriblecustomer service...

set a cancellation date 45 days from now, wait for a call back to negotiate a lower rate - if they don't switch to rogers rinse and repeat.befuddled wrote: ↑ Similar package but mine expired last month. So far I was able to do this once every 3-4 years and have been most recently paying $30-$35/mth for 500mbps down with Rogers and $74.95 with bell for 500 mbps down at two different properties.

Called, and they said these types of deals are through the building management. Don't know how true that is. Best they could offer for me was 500/500mbps for $85. Currently on rogers 1gbps/30mbps, that will soon jump to $81. Set up cancellation with rogers, and waiting on the customer retention. If rogers doesn't try to get me to stay, I'll move to bell for the higher upload speeds

Started out looking for this deal, with the thought of cancelling TV altogether but just ended up switching TV+internet from Rogers to Bell.
Best bundle offer I was able to get was $99 for Fibe 50 and Good TV; $0 install and $200 gift card.
It's not 1 gigabit but I'm coming from Ignite 75 so FTTH 50 should be as good and the Good TV gets me TSN and SN so I'm happy with that as my minimum.
Thanks

I had the Gigabit service in pickering and never got speeds (ethernet) over 500. When my promotion ended I "downgraded" to 500 and guess what....no difference. Just my experience. Not sure what the issues are.
