Id like to give a short review of my fibe tv and internet as Ive had it since the BES days.

Fibe TV has been found to have a sharper picture and faster channel switching than rogers by most people.
Even with the new rogers cable boxes, the interface for bell is still nicer and easier to use.

Although you can get a faster internet connection with rogers by paying top dollar, comparing 25mb services, bells is much more consistant during the course of the day, and Ive never had problems with torrents as long as I download during off peak hours. (I set utorrent to start at 11pm and end at 6am. I easily max out my connection on 2-3 newer torrents.)
Additionally, bell now offers a very reasonably priced unlimited option.

I only have to power reset my wireless router or set top box maybe 4-5 times in a year, maybe less. It seems like they come clustered, having to reset it 2-3 times in one week, then they're fine for months. Perhaps bell did a network upgrade and the router or set top box needed to update some configs? It certainly has gotten better since the BES days.

Im currently paying:
Bell Fibe Better TV & 15/10 internet w/unlimited ~$100

No contract, first 3 months free, any credits last 2yrs.
was told by rep to call back after first year and I can try for something better.

What would be the price range for Fibe Better TV, and unlimited internet 35/10?

I'm willing to get away from Rogers, but only for a great deal. Any help would be appreciated :)

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to add details of the Bell Fibe loyalty offer I just signed on for as a two-year existing customer:

25/10 internet with 350GB cap - $44.95 (apparently just introduced today, Dec 16th in response to Rogers' 35MB 300GB offer for $45)
HDPVR + wireless HD box with 6 theme packs - $66.50

Total: $111.45.

They also have a promotion for 50/10 internet if your area qualifies.

Hope it helps, happy negotiating!

To be honest, I am not quite sure. I had originally signed up for an HDPVR with 7 theme packs (3 for sports, a couple for nature/science, 1 for news and 1 for lifestyle) on top of the basic cable channels. This is the same deal continued from 2 years ago but I dropped the lifestyle theme pack (Women's Channel etc.) to get $5 in savings going forward. In terms of available channels there is a pretty decent selection (buoyed by the multiple time-zones available) but I do lack in terms of dedicated movie channels.

After going through the 45 minute song and dance, this was the best that I was offered:
***: For first 6 months, Bell Fibe Internet 50/10 $52.95/mo +Unlimited Internet $10/mo+ FIbe TV Better Package $54.95/mo + FREE HDPVR = $117.90/mo+ taxes.

***: After 6 months, Bell FIbe Internet 50/10 $52.95/mo+Unlimited Internet $10/mo + FIbe TV Better TV Package $72.95/mo + FREE HDPVR = $135.90/mo+taxes.

***: This is the best exclusive deal available to you.

***: No Contract for the TV and Internet service.

***: FREE Activation.

***: FREE Installation.
I declined because I felt the TV service was too expensive.

Got it too.

-20.00 $ ongoing discount.

I think that is a fair price for Bell.

I was offered this fibe internet deal as we'll but they told me that price is only guaranteed for 8 months. I know the Rogers deal price is guaranteed for 8 years.

hmm...offer i was given was basically $ 10 off the service, no other discounts...so better package (fibe tv) i was told would be 77.95 plus the extras...but thats the regular package price now...so maybe (hopeuflly) she misquoted and im actually going to be paying 67.95

i have discounts on internet (but worse then above offer) and phone expiring later..

phone discount is good (18 off)...internet i was paying 53.86 for 15/10 unlimited...but ive taken out unlimited since im not close to using it that much right now...think i may try and get the 44.95 deal
