Virgin Mobile has pretty good deal now. I am thinking of leaving bell as well next month and may try Teksavvy internet and their basic tv package but currently teksavvy does not have any good offers so may end up going with Virgin. Unless Bell will give me offer that I will not be able to refuse.

I was actually trying to set up with TS and they informed me my new street is only Fibre. My options are limited.

Current Rogers subscriber, called Bell for a price for BEST TV package and 1.5 Gbps Internet. Given a price, said no and they reduced by $10 a month. Booked install (next day).

When reviewing order summary, they had me on BETTER TV package. Called to cancel the install, they offered another $15/month down ongoing. Said no.

They called 5 days later to offer another discount

TV BEST Package: $130.45 - $44.50 (ongoing) = $85.95
Internet 1500/940: $114.95 - $56 (24 months) = $58.95
Home Phone: $46.45 - $46.45 (ongoing) = $0
Total: $144.90

They also credited all installation costs.

Given that I won't have to negotiate for 24 months, I think this is pretty good but told them to call me back tomorrow. I'll try to get Crave added to the bundle.

Good deal - but I suppose you had some good leverage being a current Rogers subscriber.

Anyone currently with Bell whose internet discount is running out?
What kind of "deals" can one negotiate as a subscriber....if any?

You don't have any leverage being a Rogers/cogeco subscriber. They don't care.

You can negotiate any deal you want. Call them and ask.

Decent. I hope you know you don't get 1.5gigabit on a single device. Unless you spend quite alot of money to bypass the HH3000.

You don't think so?

I hink is a pretty good deal...if they don't care, why would they come up with a better offer each time kiloohm called?
They could have just said "Take it or leave it"

Because they always come with a different deal/offer everytime you call. Been doing it for 10+ years now.
That is a normal internet promo, nothing special there. Special would have been them making it an ongoing promo as well.

The ciktel internet only option looks good, deal of $30 for 12mo, $40 after, 50/10/unlim usage, $70 setup fee.
I also like the bell service I have gotten for the last 20yrs, but not willing to pay double the cost. If bell offers $50/mo I might stay.
I have had fibeTV for a few years, but with more IPTV options now I dont see how it can compete at the price bell wants.

Is it better to call near the end of your term or one month in advance or so?. Got a 50% bell fibe deal expiring Aug17th, would the Bell loyalty do anything about it ? Or too early to call?

I bought a Dell N20JK adapter off eBay for $30 to add to my existing ESXi server running pfSense and all my bandwidth hungry VMs so I should be good :)

Have 2 offers:

Bell - $50 per month with $59 one-time installation fee. Fibe $50 FTTN. Receiving a $100 credit to help offset the the setup fee.

Rogers - $60 per month with no setup fees. 1GB. I'm thinking I can probably get Rogers down to $50.

It's not about the cost, since they cost about the same.

This may be a stupid question, but which is the better and faster deal? I know that 1gbps is obviously faster on paper, but will I actually get that most of the time with Rogers? Or is 100mbps with Bell FTTN going to be faster and more reliable and more consistent?

Rogers Ignite Gigabit will definitely be faster than Bell FTTN 100. You can also get Rogers Ignite Gigabit for $54.99 through a door-to-door rep.

Artwebb1986 wrote: They offered me that when I got my gigabit + good tv a few weeks ago I laughed and he came back 5 mins later. Added home phone to the account and it went down to $102+tax. And thats with only a $10 year long promo on my internet. Rest are ongoing promos.
So they eventually knocked it down to $101 (from $150) with the gigabit internet as well and all fees waived. I did get a better offer from Rogers but I'd prefer to just stay with Bell and this is still quite reasonable. Thank you so much for providing those numbers. They really do work if anyone out there is hesitant to call them.
