[Bell] iPad mini 4 $15/Mon 24mon on Flex Data $5 1GB

Here's the drill :

Bell is giving a bonus 1GB to flex data when you sign up any device on installment.

ipad mini 4Gen 16GB LTE is currently on promotion, $15 a month for 24 month, which will comes to $360
(APPLE doesn't carry 16GB LTE version anymore, but launch price is $529 USD)
---edit----
64GB is also on sale at $20 device fee per-month

You pay
$20 a month for 24 month ($5 flex data plan + 15 Device fee)

You get
Permanent 1GB bonus on Flex data plan, as long as you don't cancel
iPad Mini 4gen LTE

I signed up one today. Seems like a good deal to me. I know 16GB is not much, but it's enough for me.

Copy from Bell.ca:
Promotion: For a limited time, get the iPad mini 4 16GB for $15.00/mo. on a 2-year term.*

Bonus: Get an additional 1 GB of data per month for exclusive use with your tablet when you activate it on a 2-year Tablet Flex or Share plan.†
Offer ends October 3, 2016.

$15/mo x 24=$360? Are there hidden fees I'm missing out on? Did my calculator mess up? This seems like a bit of a deal? I'm only used to Bell ripping me off.

Do you get an special warranty with them? Will they replace it if something dumb happens to it like a scratch ?

Minimum charge is $20 a month with cheapest data plan. Need to pay 25$ for connection and sim fee. Comes out to 505 before taxes. You can get a refurb (comes with the same 1 year warranty) for 490: http://www.apple.com/ca/shop/browse/hom ... i_cellular

Not worth for those just looking for an ipad mini 4, but worth for those who will be actually using it with data.

you get 1GB per month for 2 years, and you pay in 24 month instead of all up front

I guess they wouldn't waive that connection fee would they?
I got overexcited, it's late here. Thanks for sorting that one out for me.

With a dual sim phone such as the oneplus 3, is it possible to set the phone up to use data from one sim and voice/texts from the other?

if I cancel before the 24 month is up, do I have to pay extra for the ipad or simply pay my remaining $15/month outstanding?

I put the sim in to my SONY phone it worked right away. put in to iphone, after reboot, you can also use data.

But with dual sim phone, the challenge is, not all the dual sim phone can use both sim in 3G mode or up.

Usually one Sim in GSM and the other in 3G or 4G LTE.

If your phone is this kind, then you can use rogers phone service on GSM slot, then bell sim on 3G slot. (because Bell/Telus doesn't have GSM)
If your phone can use 3G simultaneously on both sim, then you can use what ever you want.

You will need to pay original fee. there is a $9.17 device credit applied every month to take it down from $24.17 to $15

Interesting. Did you order online, or did you go in store to get the promo pricing?

Edit: I'm currently on a cheap voice only Bell plan, so this would be very nice if I can use both sims at once

How much was the upfront tax?

This deal has been discussed at length already: search the "Expired Deals" forum section.

You pay the tax on the full cost of the tablet upfront, plus $10 for the SIM card. Activation fee of $15 will be on your first bill.

Still a very good price if you are looking for an LTE tablet and a cheap data plan.

iPad Air 2 is also available in store: $20 per month for the 16 GB version.

I guess this deal has expired since it shows the ipad mini at $24.17/month now before the $5 data add on.

Does this deal mean you're paying $35 a month for IPad and 1 gig of data for 24 months?

It seems that you need to go in store for the deal as stated below the price.

it's still valid.

On bell.ca

Promotion: For a limited time, get the iPad mini 4 16GB for $15.00/mo. on a 2-year term.*

I ordered on on tuesday. Got shipped yesterday.

When I called I was told there's no activation fee since I'm already a bell customer. I will get charged $69.90 in tax (not sure how that was calculated) and $10 sim card fee. I had a credit on my account so that will be covered :)

then it's $15 / month (really $24.17 with a $9.17/month credit)
and $5.75 (tax in) for the data plan. I took the share plan (1GB Bonus promo) and since I already have a 6GB plan that I'm sharing with 2 phones they said now it's like I have 7GB shared.

so my cost will be $20.75 / month x 24 + $69.90 + $10

I know it would be cheaper to get one outright from the store but this is not bad since we were actually looking into getting a tablet with Data for the car instead of making a hotspot all the time with our phones :)
