[Bell] My Current 2014 Loyalty Plan with Bell : Can I get a new phone or better loyalty?

I am currently with Bell with a loyalty plan that dates back from 2014. Been with them since 2011. My plan is 3GB data with Unlimited Text/Calls in Canada for 65$ (tx included).
My phone is pretty old and starting not to function : a Samsung Galaxy S4...

I tried to call them to get a new phone and of course they said no. Told me I need to change my plan. What they offered me was 20$ more a month. 85$ (tx not even included now that I re-read what they told me). That's quite a steep. I tried to remind them I am with them since 8 years. Doesn't move them... I paid all my bills, didn't complained once.. etc.

Is there a way I can get a new phone or change to another loyalty plan with them?
The person I talked too was quite rude and honestly was tempted to just go elsewhere.

I'd appreciate suggestions on what to do. Thanks!

That's not really a great plan, especially since it sounds like you also are using your owned device (not subsidized) . Fido has 4GB + unlimited call/text Canada-wide for $44 before tax, you would be saving around $14/month with this plan.

Definitely not a good plan....depends on if you need more data but there's a few better plans:

1. Zoomer: $54/7Gb LTE data on a 2-year contract. Must pay $100 up front for the Pixel 3. Includes: unlimited Canada-wide Text/Call. Thx @RFDblin.

2. Public Mobile: $40/4.5Gb (3G speeds). +500Mb with autopay. Unlimited call and txt (includes international). No new phone tho, BYOD.

3. Virgin Mobile: $40/6gb + unl talk&text OR $45/6gb + unl talk&text AND silver tab *migration offer*. Needs a bit of work to get but full details in thread below. Thx @ips1177.

4. Huge YMMV for new customers: Koodo Loyalty Plans $50/8GB, $60/12GB, $70/15GB, $75/20GB + possible 1-2GB add-on (YMMV). Thx @peakingduck.

Lots of choices, just need to research and see what best fits your needs. Gluck!
