Benz CLA 250

Hi Guys,

I am thinking to lease MB CLA 250 (non-AMG) in Vancouver. Is there any advise how to negotiate the lease rate? What should be a reasonable price? Please comment, thanks in advance.

3% discount was average about a year ago due to high demand. See to it that you do better than that.

Thanks, do you think February is a better month to buy/lease a vehicle due to slow sale month?

Sign up to their newsletter or call a sale rep every other week about any promo.

After a test drive, they sent me newsletter with current promo every other month.

On time of purchase, sale rep knew about special 1% off on lease interest rate coming next weekend so I did take the offer by signing it week after.

Honestly I dont how well they are selling the CLA now compared to year ago. Last year, it was pretty much any discount they gave me I was grateful on CLA unlike the 2014 C300 which discount went high as 7% plus factory rebate.

With introduction to GLA and 2015 c300, I am sure demand for cla isn't high as before.

Go for a test drive and find a good sale rep to help you out.

The CLA interior is cheap. If you go for a loaded CLA, might as well consider a base C300.

The C300 is too expensive for the amount of content you get. Might as well get a stripped out C400 instead.

Test drove it last year. A slow turd it is. Poor visibility and cheap interior. Consider the c class instead of budget ballin for the cla250. The only thing going for this thing is the rear. If thats all you care about then by all means dish out 47k all in.

Just got back from the dealership, actually 2015 car wasn't that bad in terms of quality as there are some post says about it. Of course there will be a difference from C and other models but you pay a lot. Derive was smooth. Dealer knocked off $2000. Little bit debating since wait time is 4 to 6 weeks. Also tested IS 250 Lexus AWD but liked CLA so far in terms of driving, but IS has more features.

The A3 is the best car in that class IMO.

A3 is the most generic looking car in that class IMO.

If you go for 3 years lease, the CLA will be much cheaper than the A3 due to high residual of the Mercedes.

Since when is a 6 second car a slow turd? the C300 has the same 0-60kms...

Totally disagree with this but even if we say the CLA looks a bit more lively/loud/out-there than the more elegant A3, any appeal that may have towards the individual usually quickly fades upon:
1. Getting inside the CLA
2. Proceeding to drive the CLA

The interior is terrible (for a car of this class/cost) and the thing drives like a bucket of bolts, lol. I find the only people that buy this car are those that simply want to upgrade to a "nice looking MB" at the cheapest price (basically for the looks and the badge) from their Civic, Mazda3, Accord, or other run-of-the-mill car. Because even someone that knows nothing about cars or driving, could not possibly disagree with the above two if they drove the CLA and A3 side-by-side and compared.

The CLA only has the advantage that the AMG is relatively cheap (for a performance-class lux-branded car) and is fast as schtink, lol. You see lots of these boy-racers-in-the-suburbs that got these bought by their parents for them or whatever, driving like mad all over the place 'cause it's faster car than they have the maturity for. (At least we can be thankful for the car's stellar braking performance, potentially saving these nutjobs from themselves.) There's no denying it's a fast car--fast like an RS3 and available at a starting price that's $10k cheaper--and what you'd pay for an optioned-out S3. But TBH I'd go for the S3 before the CLA. Just one drive of a CLA and you should be wondering, "WTF was Mercedes thinking?"

Of course the MB sells more I think (?), as MBs usually do...I see a lot more of them on the road than A3s. But given that, doesn't that mean the CLA is more generic? Seeing an A3 for me is like, "hey there's a not-A4 Audi!" that happens rarely. Seeing a CLA is just, "meh yet another person that bought a badge".

Yet "magazine racing" these cars is really not enough to tell the difference in driving experience. As said, the CLA has an interior that's not only cheaper but looks cheap; and the ride is crap. Even if you were to drive the old C250 against the CLA250--the CLA is faster for sure but apart from that the C-Class, even the previous-gen car, is better in every way. So a C-class that performs the same in a straight line is twice the car the CLA is. I'm not sure if you've driven a CLA or not but it's definitely quite something to drive one, and by this I don't mean it in a good way.

And BTW neither of these are "6-second-cars"--LMAO  They're 15-second-cars. You don't quote the 0-60 times when you use that phrase, you quote the 1/4-mile times.
