Indeed! I have 30+ smartthings products and none of them were this cheap...

great find. thanks for it. cheaper than amazon itself, jumping on the hub and 2 wireless water sensor. hope not too hard to use.

Does it indicate if this hub is v2 or v3?

Must be a v3, doesn't look like my v2 (more square and larger with a rectangle power port, not round).

Definitely great price, been waiting for more of them to go on sale after the water sensor and Dome water valve shut off my main water valve and saved my basement....

Amazon is ~ $2 more expensive for the water and multipurpose sensor, at least.

Also, 2% CB from GCR on Smart Home.....

the shape indicate it is v3
v2 is more square-ish and have 2 usb port instead.

The batteries the smartthings sensors take are uncommon and not cheap... this is the thing that gets to me every time I think about it. Am I wrong?

RFD effect - I don't know what I want to do with all these sensors but I feel like I need to buy them and worry about that after!!!

I currently have a smart lock and a few smart plugs connected using Smartthings so feel like I should be doing more fun stuff than just lights.

I have both.... I started out with ST, and then picked up a Wink1 when HD had them on clearance. I now run STv2 and an upgraded Winkv2 side-by-side. Why? Each hub has their own strengths - the lack of good OTA support with ST, and the fact that I've been plagued with Zigbee disconnects with my HD EcoSmart bulbs, has me running a blended network. Some lights and Wink Relays throughout the house for Wink, and the rest on ST. I like the fact that you can customize and develop all your own ST Handlers and that there is a great developer community.

To link the two, I use IFTTT; such as my WeMo switches on ST will trigger the Wink routine for the lights.... I really don't think there is one system which covers every requirement I have.

True, and they are tricky to replace - I've snapped the holding clip off one device trying to get the battery out, and ruined it.

Where's the best place you've found to buy the batteries?

I actually only bought one CR-2450 battery from either WalMart or SDM just to try it in '17, and after I ruined that $30 sensor I gave up trying to replace them in my ST sensors, and bought other ones like Iris, Monoprice, etc., that were much easier to replace (even if the devices were a little bulkier). It looks like the latest gen re-designed the battery compartment though; the earlier '15/16 versions were _very_ tight clips that only allowed a certain brand, while on the ST Community people have said the latest are less.... risky to replace.
