If you speak to the customer service - They suggest you return in-store if you have already applied the screen protector to the iPad.

if you wish to send it by mail - you have to remove the screen protector yourself, put it back in the packaging it arrived and return it. All self returns done by mail need original packaging else your return will be rejected/ need further follow up.

Also, ensure you reset your Ipad and remove the activation lock before returning, the Geeksquad does a check for this.

O
Thank you for this for the detailed explanation. I am still waiting to receive my iPad, should be coming in by the end of this week. Once I receive it I'll just go straight to BestBuy to return it. Cheers!!

Second this. Why jump on the deal if you’re not interested in keeping it in the first place and potentially denying those actually wanting them the chance to get them? It’s a great deal, especially for the 12.9” LTE models.

I wouldn’t say non useable. If you’re actually using more storage, the ram is helping keep it up to speed.

Does anyone else think that is better than getting the 11in (1st gen) 256GB for $999?
Not a big difference tbh. That’s why the 2020 iPad is a disappointing “upgrade” for many.

I don't have personal experience with the Pro, just pointing out some of the reasons on why we're seeing buyer's remorse in this thread.

Probably some case of......people got too caught up in nabbing the deal, and didn't think carefully "why do I need 1TB and LTE"?

I almost fell into that trap. Especially since I was buying the 12.9 inch which is practically a laptop replacement. Not once did I ever think "I wish my laptop had LTE". Most of the time my 12.9 stays at home anyway, and I'm not going to sign up for an LTE plan.

IMO Most people should just buy the 2020 (that's what I did) and get the free Airpods. That has immediate value (either sell them or use them)
RFD is not just for cheapskates. Those who want their expensive toys don't want to pay full price either.

For those that don’t need/want the storage, I guess that makes sense.

Thanks. I didn't realize there is the free airpod. Canceled my Bestbuy order and got the iPad 11" 256GB (2nd gen) from Apple directly and airpod pro. The iPad was cheaper than the 1st Gen open box with education discount!

Naked. Not going to waste the aluminum design with a cheap plastic case.

Most people probably should buy the entry level iPad for $400 (when it's on sale) or the new rumoured iPad Air next month. Especially if you're really just using it for emails, surfing and FaceTime with family. Spending $1000+ on a 'professional' level tablet is fine if you're truly using it's power and capabilities.

Most people should just buy a $10K base model vehicle with no features and a top speed of 100km/h...
