RFD Summary
💸 This price is considered an excellent deal, matching a previous all-time low. Members who purchased at $799 were able to get a price adjustment from Best Buy.🗓️ While some question the purchase timing as summer ends, many suggest it's usable throughout spring, fall, and even for shorter rides in winter.🚦 The scooter's legality is a common discussion point, particularly in Quebec where its 1200W peak power exceeds the 500W limit, though enforcement varies by region.⛰️ Community members highly rate this scooter for its performance on hills and consider it a significant upgrade from the Segway E3 model.🚧 There's a mixed sentiment regarding safety due to road conditions in cities like Toronto and Ottawa, with some members emphasizing cautious riding and helmet use.

I don't, would be nice to have employee discount though (if it exists ☺️). I also have Apollo scooter btw. Granted Segway is generally my preferred choice Thumbs Up Sign

I recently bought the E3 from Best Buy for $500, and while I’m happy with it as my first scooter, part of me wishes I’d splurged for the F3 Pro. For only $200 more, I think the additional features are well worth it, especially climbing steeper hills. I’m keeping the E3 to see how much I end up using it, but if it becomes a regular mode of transportation, I can see myself upgrading at some point.

Noob question. What do people do with these things when you go into a store for example? Lock it up outside, or carry/walk the scooter inside? Can imagine these are higher on targeted items to be stolen?

Been daily driving this for the past month with the preorder deal. Great scooter, range is decent I usually just use the drive mode for 25km/h. Fun to use and would recommend.

550w nominal power fyi

Only low-end scooters are under 500w max, even e3 is 800w

I really wish there is a solution to get rid of their annoying park mode and 3km/h kick to start. I have been using Niu kqi3 max for 2 years and wanted to add this Segway F3 Pro to my line up, but I am not willing to give up the ease of use of my Niu.

Oh something to keep in mind for extended night rides, since the handlebar is curved, you can no longer attach a separate brighter headlight to the handlebar, it's not going to point straight unless you have a light with a rotating mount,

I also use the drive mode mainly. I’m probably not doing this right but I also change to eco mode whenever I know I’m coming to a busy intersection or a stop because it will slow down by itself a lot quicker. Eco mode also make maneuvering corners and turns much easier

I just returned to Toronto after a few years and saw people riding these downtown but i saw that they are banned. People saying just ride them anyway tho? In mississauga they re everywhere even u have those shareable ones when u pay per minute ive really only used those.
Curious what do people do when they get to their destination for ex grocery store or the mall? Surely u cant leave it anywhere as they would get stolen and u cant carry this big thing with u. I love the lime ones.

It's 1200w max power (for hills and stuff). It's not sustained 1200w.

If you guys want a better/cheaper scooter, I found the best deal off Temu... Posted about it before, and I bought this, it's honestly amazing with the best specs. It's $570 +tax after coupon (will explain). Comes with a removeable seat, off-road tires, goes up to 55 km/h, amazing suspension and 21ah battery. I don't think Temu's allowed to list the actual specs cuz it's too powerful. Search for HJ11Plus on Temu:

Specs:

To get $100 off using a 20% off coupon ($100 max discount), you simply either ask for it in live chat, make a new account, or sometimes get the codes in the app. Just contact customer service they will usually give you a coupon. And I guarantee this scooter is $1k if you buy it anywhere else, paid $644.10 after tax. 90 free returns, you won't want to return it. Best e-scooter deal you can buy in Canada, and it's very fast, need motorcycle helmet n gear for high speeds. The Segway G2 Max doesn't even have a seat, and I always use the seat, even has it's own suspension, can't live without it, been using this Freeboy scooter every day

A no name scooter of temu while maybe cheaper, is certainly in not better than Segway.

Is the F3 that much better?
I think that was E series not F. F3pro has full suspension, more powerful motor, more range. I think it is better, but depends on your scooter purpose

Where do you live that your roads have defects large enough to make you cose to wiping out on an ebike?
Are you in a war-torn country where bombs have destroyed the roads?

I guess nobody lives in Toronto?

Ihttps://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/street ... m=referral

They repaired almost 300,000 potholes in 2024... and that's not all of them lol.

The city had over 4000 damage claims on vehicle rims / tires in 2023... i can imagine if cars rims are being obliterated that someone riding an escooter/ebike could also be impacted by said terrible roads.

let alone the number of times ive personally seen someone on an ebike / escooter / regular bike slip and slide and crash due to street car tracks.

and then you have the car accidents (unrelated to the road quality) - i saw a guy on escooter get sent 30 ft directly below my condo balcony last week. no helmet, wearing open toe flip flops with no socks lol. buddy got destroyed. car was making a right and he went right into the side fender / hood and went flying.
