Too short on details. Flicker free? What ports? Pass.

Shouldn't have acquiesced to him. Next thing you know, he'll be asking you to wipe his butt ;) .

Hmm other sites say 1ms response time so is it 5ms or 1ms?

VRB means Visual Response Boost and it's a feature which decreases blur in fast moving images to achieve the effect of a 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time).

In other words, if you enable VBR, you can get 1ms response time with that IPS monitor.

Monitor manufacturers, e.g Acer, use different features (MPRT, VRB etc) to get the 1ms response time.

Isn't this a really good price for 27" wqhd monitor with a height adjustable stand? What's the catch?

Catch is some might not like this deal because it is not 144hz as well as it is manufactured by Acer. Might have had poor experiences with them.

A black model does exist, so either the description or the images are wrong at BB.

The only silver one showing that looks similar is a 28" model:

Folks on Reddit says it's silver.

As I was looking for reviews on this monitor, I stumbled across it on Costco's website for a regular price of $249.99.

For the given specs (WQHD, IPS, 27'', HAS), is there anything else in this price range? Are these IPS panels inferior to say Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, or LG panels?

I purchased a 27" Lenovo L27q-30 (QHD, IPS) for 249.99 from the Microsoft Store a few months ago....and I have not seen anything comparable come close to that price until this deal which is close enough in specs and price.

I regretted not getting a second one. This is close enough in specs and price (plus it has 3 years warranty).........will be picking one up.,,,thanks OP!

Not defending his actions but there was a time when upvotes were only given to those who started a new thread/hot deal.

I'm wondering the same, given that labour day is next week; expecting to see some more sales, hopefully there will be some more selection and/or lower prices.

For non gaming purposes, this monitor should fit the bills for a lot of people. Other than the slow refresh rate, nothing much is missing at this price point.

Spoon fed much? Your loss for skipping out on a deal because you're too lazy to do any research yourself.

Do you need directions on how to get to a Best Buy as well?
