[Best Buy] Acer Aspire 3 15.6" Laptop - Black (AMD Ryzen R7 3700U/256GB SSD/8GB RAM) $549

Ryzen 3700U with Vega 10 and a 15.6" screen. Is this a good deal? First time posting a deal, saw a lot of good laptops thought this one might be good but I could be completely wrong.

Thinking about pulling the trigger but I think the gurus will weigh in here with the verdict.

Not US keyboard.

I don’t know why they still make these keyboards, it deteriorated the selling price.

I just researched this because of your comment. Damn, I always hated the small shift and enter key. The placement of the keys always messed me up when gaming and typing. :( sucks.

According to userbenchmark the 3700x has a 1059% higher value than the 3700u and it's 71% faster. Two letters make a huge difference

Cpu isn't everything, and they are oh so close. Identical pricing which is unusual.

Also consider that the aspire 5 has a bigger battery and newer ports. Well these deals will probably be smashed in a few days so if you do consider one of these I would suggest doing a little more research.

It didn't say if it's IPS panel so I would assume TN panel
I don't mind bilingual keyboard personally, at least save me some trouble when typing in French, besides, the 26 letter keys don't move, they just split the shift and rename the <

Which one is better for the price?

The HP has a lower resolution screen and a weaker processor. Not sure about build quality but the specs are definitely worse for what you are paying.

Anyone has a link on comparing AMD and intel processors?
