[Best Buy] Assassin's Creed Odyssey $19.99 (until July 4th)

Listed in the Preview flyer for the one-day VIP sale this Thursday.

For those that still haven't picked it up, this ties with the lowest price it has been (which I believe was also a one-day VIP sale).

TIV at EB is currently $9.

PS4 - https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/as ... 4/12612460
XB1 - https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/as ... e/12612466

edit: additional games listed as well
Assassin's Creed Odyssey - PS4 / Xbox One
Anthem - PS4 / Xbox One
NBA 2K19 - PS4 / Xbox One
Fallout 76 - PS4 / Xbox One
Carnival Games - Switch

Picked this game up for $19.99 a couple of months before. Amazing game for that price. Just got the Platinum Trophy 60 hrs later.

I regret nothing.

This was a great purchase at $60 with 60+ hours of gameplay. At $20, it's more than a steal. The devs have also added at least 20 hours of extra story gameplay through the Season's Pass. Would recommend if you're a fan of action/RPG games or just love a big open world game.

Bought one last time, because hoarding/RFD. Haven’t played it yet, because backlog.

The problem I have with AC: Odyssey is the whole leveling up system. You basically have to grind to get from one level to another. As in, spending hours, to get a point (max. 100). Whereas in Origin, it was fairly easy to level up, in Odyssey, you really have to complete lots of tasks. A number of users were using the crouch/recruit glitch, to get XPs, to level up - it was patched, back in May, so you can't use it anymore.

I tried to like Odyssey, but the whole leveling up grind got to me. After about 14 hours of play, I managed to get to level 13, or about an hour per level. I was about to use the crouch/recruit glitch, to make the game easier, but then they patched it up. Also, depending on the difficulty you're playing, enemies level up with you, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of leveling up. Just my two cents.

Yeah I know but some still want it. I'll post it since AC:O isn't only for the 27th.

Styles of play will naturally vary, but if you follow the recommended levels of each island as a guide and travel accordingly, doing all the quests in an area before moving on, you will never feel like you're significantly under or over-levelled, at least in my experience. I never felt it was too grindy in my 70 hour play-through (boss battles notwithstanding).

I'll update the post with links on the 28th.

If I may... When I purchase titles for "the future", it ends up that I never play them. AC:O will return at 20$ often, no worries there.
