Is this as cheap as a 1440p monitor will be. Open to smaller but looks like most 1440p are at least 27 inch. Also don't game so don't need the fast refresh but once again looks like most are geared for gaming. I still have 2 20 inch monitors and was hoping to upgrade both to either 24 or 27 or maybe even one of each. Using mostly for work, trading and basic stuff.

Thanks, OP. I have a PG278Q which I've been pretty happy with, and have been looking to get a 2nd monitor - this one fits the bill nicely.

Hi everyone,

I've been watching the threads on monitors and noticed this deal and the Dell from the previous day. My use is only office stuff, maybe a video here and there, no gaming, but would like to enter the world of 1440p monitors as my 10+ year old 1080p Dell monitor just doesn't have enough resolution for my needs (big spreadsheets). Would this be a good deal, or is it overkill? Thanks.

The $250 one was 1080p, 1440p are more expensive…

Sigh... I wished the border is opened. Yesterday saw an US deal (Best Buy @ebay) Dell 27" UltraSharp U2719DX for US$250.

Haven't seen anyone here mention it yet, but one of the main appealing factors for this monitor besides being a high refresh rate IPS, is the ELMB Sync function. Most monitors you have to choose between Gysnc/Freesync and black frame insertion (the latter being in use to get the 1ms response time you see advertised for a lot of monitors). ELMB Sync lets you enable both simultaneously.

In terms of features, you won't necessarily take advantage of the 144Hz and the freesync, but $347 is close to what you would pay for a non-gaming 27" 1440p IPS monitor (most likely 60-75Hz). Those would probably be around $300 or less

Damn, been looking at this thread all morning long... I'm giving in. In for 1. I hope their return policy is good for open-box. I never purchased any open-box before. Hope I get a good experience based on reviews on this thread.

What was the reason bestbuy said you couldn't return the monitor within the 14day window? There website clearly says can be opened and returned within 14days and with covid there's slight extension.

huge, you won't go back to 60Hz ever if you use anything over 120Hz after

Does anyone happen to know if the stand is height-adjustable and if so, what the height of the monitor is when the stand is fully down (lowest height possible)?

Thanks

didnt say final sale on the webpage when I bought it owell.
Try contacting customer support. Save a copy or take a screenshot of the product page as well so you can show that it states "Qualifies for Best Buy's no-hassle return policy" to them.

Hopefully they don't give you any trouble with that. Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

Edit: Realized you were referring to a different purchase, but were still within the 14 day return period. I would still contact customer support (call in if you have to) and see what they say. Unless it was stated anywhere that the item was a final sale, they shouldn't have any issues initiating a return.

Surprised with the time it took to deliver: Ordered last night, arrived this morning.

YMMV, packaging with a bit rough, felt like a quick tape job with the wires thrown in the box. However the monitor itself has no issues, most of the stickers were gone aside from some in the back, but overall can't complain for $400 all-in.
