[Best Buy] ASUS C204EE 11.6" Chromebook - Dark Grey (Intel Celeron N4020/32GB eMMC/4GB RAM/Chrome OS) -- $169

Identical specs to a Acer Chromebook (minus the touchscreen) posted here a couple of days ago to mixed reviews at $299, this is $169. Maybe this hits the pricing sweet spot for little browsing/schooling from home product?

I got this model from Amazon during the previous sale @ $139. Now my daughter uses it for online schooling at home.

also power delivery, which is handy for travel if you only feel like bringing one cable?

Seems like a lot of these are on a fire sale lately, wonder if we will see even steeper discounts. Could just be over supply, demand dropped off a cliff by fall last year.

It would be nice to post a link when suggesting an alternate product.

I really hate small screens but my 11 year old actually asked me to remove the external monitor because she prefered to use the 10 inch screen since it's how they use them at school.

64GB internal storage is nice, but 768 resolution on a 14" screen is not good, and the processor is strictly entry-level, not as powerful as the N4020. At $280 I would pass.

Bought this last week but will be bringing it back.
Here are my thoughts with this:
The french keyboard SUCKS and is awful to type on. Kept making errors when reaching for the shift/enter keys.
The USB type C charger (and the included charger and brick suck as well). Only a matter of time before the charger breaks due to its geometry. The charging cable is short and irritating with the brick sitting mid-span of the cable as well.
This would have been hugely improved if it had the traditional ASUS barrel connector with the one wall wart brick with the long/thin/lightweight cable to span between the plug and the laptop.

If it wasn't for this charger and the keyboard layout I would have kept the device. It performed well browsing and using play store apps, but I will not be able to get over these 2 issues.
