[Best Buy] ASUS ROG Strix 43" 4K UHD 120Hz 4ms GTG VA LED FreeSync Gaming Monitor (XG438Q) $1299.99

Not ideal monitor, but ideal cost $2000 (asus swift 43)
120 Hz, not 144
Freesync, not G-Sync
HDR600, not 1000
DSC not available, 4K 30bit 120Hz will work on 4:2:2
If it will be sold out, it available for order at Amazon, but temporary out of stock, they accept orders at this price. I watched this monitor on Amazon, it show me quantity 15 one week ago, and "more on the way" so most likely it will be available.

Asus swift 43 better, available at B&H, shipped from USA for $2000. I note differences above.

Attractive. But I'll wait for the TV version for half the price in 2021.

Hopefully it has 2.1.

You can play on TV, but for reading text it's no good.

This isn't 2015, friend.

TVs are just fine for text with the right pixel structure and PPI.

I use a 48" 4K Samsung TV as my main screen and I'm on it literally 12 hours a day. It's not "no good", it's great.

Samsungs lower than Q6 not real 4K, they are RGBW or RGBG or something like this. This absolutely does not matter for TV, may be matter for 75"

Maybe now something changed and they sell real 4K in low price models.

43" Q6 cost little bit less than monitor.
But I suppose monitor should be close to Q8 or Q9 with FALD
Monitor is non glare, tv is like mirror.

Samsung does not have 43 4K monitor, but they have TVs, why?

Why insignia, RCA, hisense and other crap makers does not offer monitors for cheap price?

Not saying this is a great deal, but the TV versions wont have a stand suitable for a desk that you can adjust and most importantly tilt up.

Several mentions of a TV version, are there any 4K 120hz 43” non curved announced for 2021? I haven’t seen it and I’ve been looking.

It’s a popular size for a widebody Virtual Pinball playfield.

Probably best to stop with the generalizations, because they're not right all of the time. My 48" samsung was top of the line that year, and is not a 'mirror' finish screen at all, it's matte, no reflections at all. Fact is I use this as the equivalent to having 4 1080p monitors in a 2 x 2 layout, with the browser in one corner, email client in the other etc. plenty of room. Oh, and when I game on it I play in 1080p not 4K so.

"It's great" doesn't speak to "the subpixel layout", because for normal humans who are on RFD and don't like spending double on something so they can brag about specs to their fellow nerds, it's fine.

It's. Great. I could never go back to a smaller screen and "it's great" compared to a $1300 "monitor" of the same size. If you're not a photoshop professional designing for multi million dollar media campaigns, you can probably be VERY VERY VERY happy with a 4K TV from a reputable vendor i.e. Samsung LG, etc. probably even Vizio and TCL would be good but I don't know alot about them.
