Does anyone know when this laptop will pay off itself if mine any crypto currency? I’m new to this. Any relevant math would be helpful.

Lazy ASUS didn't bother to update this with a webcam in a time when everyone is working from home.

I wish they all mentioned about the wattage of the 30 series card on a laptop, so sketchy.

Here you go
https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

However, a laptop isn't a desktop, I wouldn't mine on a laptop personally as running non stop would wear the hardware. Though you could say the same with a desktop but, I don't know, air flow is still better with a desktop.

I'll even save you a google search

DO NOT mine with a laptop. You'll wear out the fans and battery prematurely from either heat or constant high rate of speed and you're no further ahead. Also...sounds like a jet. But maybe you're a fight sim fanatic so it works out

Wondering how much rendering with full blast cpu and gpu this thing can handle before pulling a heat of death due to poor cooling (or throttling).

Thanks. I was about to buy Dell PC which was around $12-1300 on deal recently but deal ended. I am familiar with NiceHash website but want to build a rig. Hoping to know more from a personal experience.

I wouldn't mine on a laptop, the heat you would be generate is just a bad idea. Also nicehash calculator is all over the place

You might make $3-5 a day depending on heat issues, but who knows how long the laptop would last. Also need to use the driver that unlocks the 3060 for mining Ethereum

I know a bunch of people that are into mining. I once was for fun but figured its better just to buy the crypto on major dips then to invest in mining rigs if the goal was to make money.

Thanks. This makes the 14 inch useless then. 65 watt compared to 95 max for the G15 and 130 watts for the Duo. Huge difference.

If you want to mine on a laptop, best to get the higher TDP models like the MSI Leopard

I have spent $8000 on a rig 3 months ago, already made $11000 canadian in profit transferred to my bank account. Now my rig are worth around $30000 but I keep mining since everything was paid off. You just have to think better than the 99% of the people or you'll be too late in the game.
