[Best Buy] ASUS Strix G15 15.6" Laptop, 144Hz/Intel i7-10750H/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/RTX 2070 open box ($1900.79-$340 = $1560.79)

Not sure how good of a deal this is? I know it's Open Box.
If you don't want Open Box, it's also on sale at $1800.79 (you save $200): https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/as ... h/14583666 or on Amazon.ca at $1799.99: https://www.amazon.ca/Gaming-Laptop-GeF ... B086X5WN13
I'd rather save the extra $240 personally, but that's just me (there's a 1-year warranty either way, whether Open Box or not).

Also, not too sure how good of a laptop it is, but when I saw this at $1560 and it has the RTX 2070 (though it's not Max Q) and knowing how good of a reputation the G14 has, I figured the G15 at this good of a price shouldn't be missed.

Also, I'm not sure if Rakuten works, but if it does, it's an extra ~$15.60 off.

This is the Strix G15 (the "G14" is part of the Zephyrus line which is more geared towards portability). There is also the Zephyrus G15, which is a different product, so you should probably include "Strix" in the title.

Done, but it seems like it's OOS now. That was fast.

I doubt you will see many deals on BF/BD. There is a shortage of all laptops currently due to Covid demand. While there may be a couple of hot deals, its unlikely that there will be a lot of choice or crazy deals like past years.

this could well be true. have not seen any exciting deal this year, but it had been the cases for last couple of years, unless you were lucky enough to get a "price error" deal honoured.

There were plenty of deals better than this during Prime Day.

Example: MSI GL65 Leopard for $1500. i7 10th gen, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, 2070 (non-maxQ) and with a much better screen/display than this Asus.
Another example would be the Helios 300 i7 10th gen, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, 2060 (non-maxQ) with again, a much better screen and display for $1400.

Not to mention the 20% off warehouse deals on a lot of gaming laptops. (MSI Raider with a 2070 Super and the latest processor was around $1700-$1800)

Pretty sure the deals will definitely be there, and more so for the fact that the 3000 mobile series in GPU's will be launching in Laptops by Spring/Summer next year.

I waited all Black Friday for a great laptop deal, but sadly there seemed to be absolutely none.
