$899.10 with parent pricing discount. Not as cheap as a month or so when it went down to $799.99.
8th gen cpu (esp i5) makes a big leap over the previous compared to any other recent generation. if your in it for the long haul, id suggest trying to get an 8th gen cpu.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/d ... collection

that is a comparable xps 13 with 8th gen cpu and 8gb ram. still only 128gb storage though for $450 more than this asus.\

better laptop for sure, for most not worth the increased cost though.

Do you know if it's possible to add another HDD for storage?
Also does yours have a SD card reader?
You can replace/upgrade the SSD (it's an M.2 SATA SSD) and yes it has an SD card reader.

Compared to this deal,

Asus Vivobook 15.6" i5-8250 $599

is this good because this 14" is light weight?

I have this laptop too, but 7th-Gen. I used to have an XPS 15 and it was nearly double the weight of this.

Aside from the lightweight, the best part is the matte screen in my opinion. It really helps visibility in sunlight.

I have ASUS laptop that I bought from best buy year and half ago (not the high end one). About 550$ value. It struggles to connect to WIFI whenever I open the lid. So frustrating. So much for ASUS quality. I will not buy another ASUS computer (likely not ACER either). I will stick with my Dells and HPs. No thank you with ASUS

Not exactly apples to apples, although internals are the same (Acer has DDR4 RAM which is a bonus), the Acer is almost 40% heavier.

How bad is it? I swore I used the Zenbook ux430 at canada computers and it wasn't the horrible old HP / sony bilingual crap keyboards.. could be wrong though
Fact is it’s a form factor computer, ya it’s not gonna be full size like something bigger but it’s super portable and this is a super fair price for a form factor.

I buy laptops with US keyboards and not the french/canadian key layout. Sounds strange but I know alot of other friends that also follow that simple rule :)

I think the listing is a mistake, pretty sure 8th gen doesn't support ddr3

Edit: Nvm it does support LPddr3 which is what this has

FYI - appears that the 14" Zenbook has a 25W MX150 > better performance bigger power draw.

13.3" Zenbook has a 10W MX150 > less performance smaller power draw.

if any this is of any importance. I didn't know there existed 2 different kinds of the gpu

Some NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPUs are slower than others

This is what I don't get. I'm pretty standard like 65wpm and have been using a bilingual keyboard for the past 5 or 6 years. It is fine. I use the right shift key most of the time for A, I, T, most of the words that you start a sentence with will be on the left hand I think.

I understand if it is somebody who does coding, but most people shouldn't have an issue with the bilingual.
