More like 6 generations if you account for the fact that it's still on Skylake 14nm+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ architecture Face With Tears Of Joy

Intel's current notebook CPUs are absolute nightmares in terms of heat/power draw as well.

These products are consistently sold out, specially when they go on sale. So I doubt you will see any better price for BF or boxing week

In the last few years I’ve been getting better deals a week or two before BF.

Anything from Logitech is good. While in short supply, they can be found. Pick the model that is best for your needs. Best Buy has the Logitech C922 Pro Stream 1080p HD Webcam available online for $130, which is a fair price given how much this webcam is in demand right now.

Thank you for your informative response. I just need one for mainly online meetings and my kid's virtual classes. I am not making YouTube videos or anything fancy.

Another option HERE at Costco... not sure how it stacks up against the other options in terms of screen and build quality.

Avoid the Canadian Ryzen versions of this laptop. They only come with a 60hz screen which is ridiculous. Only the USA has the superior Ryzen version with the 144hz or 300hz refresh options.

The one to get here in Canada if you are going for the Omen 15 is the i7/16GB RAM/1TB SSD/RTX2070 at Best Buy which has the 144hz screen and G-Sync, but of course its almost double the price at $2000.
