[Best Buy] Beasts of Balance Game - $44.99 (reg $100+)

I noticed the Beasts of Balance game is on sale at Best Buy for $49. I’ve wanted to get this for my kids but wasn’t willing to pay the $100+ price. At $50 I couldn’t resist. I haven’t closely watched prices for it so I don’t know if this often goes on sale for this price, but currently it is selling at Amazon.ca for $116 and Chapters for $139, and Best Buy says the regular price is $99. It’s available online and in looks like there’s quite a bit of stock in store.
Edit: now $44.99

Thanks OP, upvoted for the price. But after watching a review, I could see this sitting in the box after a couple days.

Yeah, it isn't for everyone. I only got mine Tuesday, but we've been playing it a ton. My two older kids (6 and 8) love trying to get better scores and unlocking new beasts. It's a bit too finicky for my 3 year old. I am sure that it will lose some of the excitement as we play more, but I don't see it being ignored any time soon. I'm trying to decide if it's too early to buy for Christmas gifts!

We are enjoying it so much I started looking for expansions. They are pricey and there isn't a lot of availability in Canada, but I was able to get the 'More Beasts' expansion on amazon.ca for $19.99 which from what I can tell is a good price. Unfortunately it's gone out of stock now, but you can order it to ship in "1-2 months". For comparison, it's $29.99 US on amazon.com.

My kids (7 and 9) have been playing this like crazy since we bought it last week. They absolutely love it. Way more than I thought they would. I suspect that because we classify this as a board game and not a tablet game, they are excited that it doesn't cut into their screen time.
Still, the components are very well designed and are satisfying to stack.
We just got the More Beasts expansion, and I think I'll get the Omnibeast on sale at Best Buy. All for less than MSRP of the base game. We're getting our money's worth.

Thanks, but after watching review it looks like a boring game!

Ended up buying this. So far really enjoying it (first day). I can see losing interest over time with the base game as there are only so many possibilities (hundreds or thousands?). Suspect buying expansions probably keeps the game fresh over time.
With that said I'm guessing this game probably has 30-120 hours of life to it. The balance aspect is fun, combinations is fun. It's fun cooperatively and versus. The ipad app is well done, seems like no delay between interacting with the game and stuff popping up on the app. My kids are 9 and 15, both enjoying it. I expect i'll get $50 of enjoyment out of it easily. With that said I think it's probably better as a family game. So me playing with the kids is a lot of fun, i'm not sure it'd be quite as fun for, say a group of 20yr old dudes. Might be fun as a date game though.
