[Best Buy] Bestbuy Alienware AW2720HF 240 Hz FHD 1ms IPS - $399 YMMV

Saw this Alienware AW2720HF monitor deal for $399.99 in the BestBuy flyer on RedFlagDeals (under Flyers Section). However, when I checked the Bestbuy.ca the price was still $799.99. Checked the flyer on Bestbuy’s website and couldn’t find this product listing (all the other item listings on the website flyer were the same except this monitor listing was missing or may have been removed by Bestbuy). Went to my local Bestbuy and showed them the flyer from the RFD and the sales rep was confused at first and didn’t know what to do. Called a manager who checked on the system and after checking for 5 minutes he couldn’t find the $399.99 price at all. But I told him that this is Bestbuy’s flyer, so he agreed to match the price at $399.99. The sales rep was stubborn and still had her doubts and wasn’t willing to sell the monitor at this price. She kept on researching and also showed me the flyer on their website that didn’t even had this monitor listing. I showed her the proof again and she discussed with another employee and finally had no choice except to sell the monitor to me for $399.99. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes but I am glad I got a good deal. Just thought will share this deal with fellow RFD’ers. Good luck hunting.

I know this is only FHD and not WQHD. The 1080p pixel quality on 27’ screen would not be as great as it would be on a 1440p monitor. Good for gaming beginners like me who do not want to spend a fortune on getting a good gaming monitor.

Regular price is $799.99 on Bestbuy - https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/al ... lsrc=aw.ds

Also currently on sale at Dell’s website for $549

This is an extreme ymmv which will only work if you annoy the sales person to the point they give in

When I went to Bestbuy, I honestly didn’t have much expectations and thought this wouldn’t work but gave it a try anyway. My plan was to go to my local Bestbuy and grab a paper flyer and check if this deal was listed in the paper flyer but they didn’t have any paper flyers. So I just checked with the sales rep who contacted a sales manager who agreed to do the price match fairly quickly. It was the sales rep who was reluctant despite having the manager’s approval. All I had to say was that your manager approved this and she had to price match it. No questions asked. I understand it can be a huge YMMV for someone depending on who you get as the manager and sales rep.

eh 1080p, pass.

a few 144hz/1ms/1440p monitors have been floating in the $400 range in the last week or so, I expect more dominoes to fall with how many monitor deals we've been getting lately.

This was on sale LAST WEEK, last day for that price was Thursday July 16 and then it went back to regular price on Friday (online site). Someone at their corporate either must have messed up the flyer, or forgot to change the price to continue on this week. I bought one last week so I 100% know it was on sale last week for sure.

That’s a different brand though. I thought you meant the Alienware 1440p monitor.
