[Best Buy] Blink XT2 Security Camera(s) + Free Amazon Echo Dot Packages ($94.99+)

Update: Additional Echo Show no longer part of promotion (likely was a glitch in first place). Free Echo Dot only available ATM, still a good deal. Amazon has the same deal: https://www.amazon.ca/All-new-Blink-Out ... WHKPY?th=1
Don't forget to add your Echo Dots to the cart.

Great deals on the latest Blink XT2 cams + free echo dot packages. Cheapest they've ever been with the extra free/reduced products considered. BB is also running a $XX off the Echo Show with the purchase of a Blink XT2 package, which equates to the following: $25 with 1 pack, $15 for 2 pack, $5 for 3 pack, and free for 5 pack. The promo is stackable with the free Echo Dot (with the exception of the 1 pack where you have to choose between a free Dot or $25 Show at the moment – possible web error ATM).

1 cam + Echo Dot Gen 3 = $94.99 ($85 off) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/13599218
Add an Echo Dot to your cart for free OR add an Echo Show for only $25. Technically there is mention of both promos showing on the above link, so not sure why this one is not stackable like the rest.

2 cam + Echo Dot Gen 3 = $179.99 ($110 off) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/13599219
Add an Echo Dot to your cart for free + add an Echo Show for only $15. $194.99 off! HOT!

3 cam + Echo Dot Gen 3 = $249.99 ($130 off) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/bl ... k/13599222
Add an Echo Dot to your cart for free + add an Echo Show for only $5! $224.99 off! HOT!

5 cam + Echo Dot Gen 3 = $374.99 ($175 off) https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/bl ... k/13599221
Add an Echo Dot to your cart for free + add an Echo Show for free! $274.98 off! HOT!

any review on the battery life of these? I cannot imagine these have 2 year battery life span.

Uses 2x AA lithium and it records to cloud when it detects motion - min 5 second recording, max 60 seconds. Saves up to 2 hours in the cloud before wiping the earliest recordings. Not sure if you can continuously record though.

So ultimately depends where you put the camera (i.e. high traffic areas will cause the motion sensor to go off and record more often), when you record (nighttime recordings turn on the IR LEDs, so that consumes battery too), and how often you request live feeds (which streams 30s at a time to save battery). Some reviews say more like 4ish months, less in Canadian winters.

I believe you can also plug the camera in via microUSB for unlimited power. Mind you, the motion sensor does not work through windows/glass.

Good points.

To add, the perk of the newer XT2 vs. the XT is that you can set motion zones so you can avoid recording useless moments which waste cloud storage and drain the batteries faster (eg. cars driving by on the street).

Regarding the hard wired plug-in option, that is correct it is an option but my understanding is that it loses its weatherproof ability when you plug in the micro USB, so not ideal for exposed cameras. Sheltered areas like inside a garage (as I intend to do) or indoors would work well for this strategy.

Really depends on the area and how much recording they do daily - i have 3 pack, and had to change one camera's battery in 6 months, rest are still going. No google home support - only Alexa (amazon echo).

Seems if you try to do this with pickup in store, you have to reserve each item separately and it then calculates each one individually and the price is higher?
