TVs have way too much lag for gaming in general. Most monitors are 5ms or less, while TVs the best are usually around 30ms (oftentimes way higher).

I'm surprised this guy isn't sold out.

The monitor is showing it's age, but it's a 43" 4K IPS monitor with claimed 5ms performance. Real world input lag is much worse, but it's still not unbearable.

This is the lowest price this monitor has seen.

There is also something called chroma subsampling to consider... basically due to colour compression on lower end 4k tvs, texts will not be as sharp vs on a 4k monitor... not a big deal when watching movies but it might be something to consider if you do a lot of reading on your computer.

This can lead to atrocious outcomes if you intend to use your TV, particularly the low-end Haier, as a productivity monitor (e.g. word, outlook, excel, number crunching work, webpage viewing, etc.).

Some TVs are good enough to rival monitors with 4:4:4 and reasonable input lag, but they typically cost much more.

Any thoughts on the polk wireless system or any other soundbars? Looking to connect my TV to it and use it for home theater but it says no HDMI input, I guess I could connect via Bluetooth. Anyone try that and still get proper surround?
