[Best Buy] Corsair Hydro H100i RGB Platinum SE 2x120mm Liquid AIO CPU Cooler - $139.98 (original $199.98) - Sale ends today

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd share this, down from $199.98 to $139.98, sold and shipped by Bestbuy. Pretty solid price for this cooler. Just ordered one for myself.

FYI: Sale ends today, so if interested, don't wait too long.

Cheers,
Deky

Great cooler. Always check that you actually have the clearance for it. The memory often gets in the way if you are planning on mounting this on top. At least with BBY you can usually return.

Definitely not $200 regular price at most retailers. If you can afford a bit more get the Capellix just looks way better (and newer).

For higher power CPUs like i9 or 5900x, do you generally need to go with a 360mm rad to get quiet cooling?

I recently tried liquid cooling for the first time on a 5900x, an MSI MAG Core Liquid 240R AIO https://www.msi.com/Liquid-Cooling/MAG-CORELIQUID-240R , I needed 240mm to fit in a mATX case. I made the mistake of assuming it would have to be quieter than air cooling but it's actually pretty loud even at idle, it's louder than the PC it's supposed to replace, an i7-8700 + Hyper 212. Maybe I need to play with the fan curve I don't really know.

Good deal.

RGB is just ridiculous, otherwise a solid AIO.

Do you think the MSI is just louder than other 240mm then?

AIOs have really came up in price.

Do they atleast use decent pumps now? or are you better off buying a D5 and building your own loop

No and good luck getting a custom loop built for $140
Flow rates are still like .1g/min vs like 4g/min for a real pump.

AIOs are good for people who don't want to bother with the mess but be warned even with a 5 year warranty, AIOs can start to gunk up in as little as 2 years and start to affect performance or get noisy especially if you move the system.

I share the same sentiment. I have an 8yo rig with Corsair AIO. While the cooling capability and quietness is awesome, but the age is a cause for concern. I end up swapping it out for a heat sink/fan.

Been using an AIO for 5 years and zero problems. Only maintenance is I recently reapplied the thermal paste. I wasn't having any heat issues but figured it couldn't hurt, and already had the case cracked to do the thermal paste on my GPU.

You probably don’t notice sound but at auto voltage at most board the 9900k will draw nearly 200w using just the FPU and the h100i is not equipped to deal with that.

Source: I have an h100i and 9900k with good paste and undervolted.

I have this and the 150i running in two towers, one for 3 years and the other for 2. No issues at all. Great coolers.

Having used both extensively I would stick with the D15 if I were you.

how would i install this thing if i dont have the proper outflow slots on the top of my case? i only have 1 fan slot up top, 3 at the front and 1 in the back. Already using 2/3 of the front slots and using the 1 slot on top.

i bought the lian li mini case but havent picked up a SFX psu yet, i wish that case didnt require a small form factor psu, i wonder if i can cut it up and just force a atx psu in there.
