Buyers beware.

Dyson has a bunch of seller accounts located on different platforms - ebay/bestbuy/walmart/official dyson refurbished site.

The prices are not consistent from platform to platform.

Shop around and you'll occasionally find price discrepancies.

Walmart for example, is often the cheapest for official dyson refurbished goods.

No time machine obviously but you can probably find this vacuum on sale from time to time. Last time I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond on sale + 20% off coupon for around the same price as that Hudson's Bay deal.

According to RTings they are pretty similar in performance. Do your own research but you can basically get a brand new unit (longer warranty) for less than this refurb if you don't mind it not being a Dyson.

I have a v7, what’s wrong with the new design?

bin is a pain to empty, gotta remove the attachment first.

the rubber gasket in the bin is definitely harder to clean.

maybe i'm bias at this point but im sure v10 is notably louder than v7.

I bought one of these on sale last time it was posted to RFD. It's a decent vacuum for quick jobs or wood and tile floors. Suction is adequate but not comparable to a plug-in vacuum of course. The only 2 downsides are the small canister capacity (which can also be a pain to empty), and that there's no low battery warning...the device just dies. There are 3 LED power indicators but they are not in your line of sight when using it, and since it's lithium batteries it goes till it stops (I'm used to it, but my wife not as much). We keep the old plug-in vacuum around just in case, but 99% of the time we use the Dyson.

x2

Ive used 2 Dysons (+hot/cool fan) but there are indeed alternatives out there. I now use a Shark vac at home and it's been indestructible.
