I’m debating between this and the V11. V11 being slightly more powerful and has a removable battery. Can anyone speak to their experience with either? I’d have to spend another $100 on a soft roller so the V10 would save me some money at least. Currently no deals on the V11

If the soft roller isn’t there, does this mean the vacuum wouldn’t be good for using on hardwood floors?

The normal power head also works great on hard flooring

I own the Dyson V8B. It came with original roller and soft roller. When using the original roller, it’s louder and personally, I can’t tell (never done an experiment) if it’ll “damage” your hardwood floor. Though, I definitely prefer using the soft roller on my hardwood floor. It’s more quiet and feels more “soft”. If this Dyson V10B came with soft roller, I would consider upgrading; but it seems like it’s not included so I’ll pass.

Do you really need a vacuum cleaner? If you can wait, keep waiting for THE DEAL. Otherwise, $350 refurb sounds about the right price.

Thanks for the insight! Yeah if it came with the soft roller, would def be hot. I’m in market for a Vacuum deal but can definitely wait Slightly Smiling Face

Your V8 soft roller is the same as the V10/V11 soft roller. So you can still "upgrade" and use the same attachments.

FYI - This is V10 not V10B which means that it comes with a smaller dust bin - this was a deal breaker for me so I bought a V10B instead. you can google the difference between V10 and V10B .

I have bad experience with Dyson used/refurbished item. Refurbished only gives me 15-20 minutes of battery runtime and new one gives me 40 minutes runtime at same setting same model. Refurbished to me means a used defective unit repaired. Buyer beware. Wish this helps.

Are there any v8 + soft roller combo?

This is the best deal on a dyson vacuum since the 279 V11H price error in November.

For the poster who said you can keep waiting for “The Deal” - I’d say this is it

I’ve owned two refurbs and both have no issue, my Vh11 gives me almost an hour of battery life on normal eco mode. Arrived with no issues scratches or anything

I have a V10b with a battery only lasting 10 mins on med setting, chatted with Dyson, got a replacement battery for free within a week, 3 tiny screws, and voila now it works flawlessly with about 40 mins of runtime on med setting.

Yes, you can wait for a "V8H" refurb deal that comes with two rollers. But personally I think V8 technology is too dated to buy in 2022.

I have a V11 refurb that came with a crevice tool that was really banged up. i contacted Dyson and they sent me a brand new tool free of charge. No complaints about their customer service.

Ordered a V8H for $299 last Dec from Dyson ebay. The money was charged from my credit card immediately. However, after 1+ month, they cancelled my order saying it's out of stock. WTH!
