[Best Buy] Fitbit Alta Hr $92.97 regular $169.99 with PM

Successfully pm’ed at the Markville mall store today, Fitbit don’t go on sale that often and for a newer model with the heart rate monitor, it’s quite a bit of savings ($67) from the original price of $169.99.
Use the sport check link above to do the pm at Best Buy. They will verify it’s in stock at the store of your choosing so make sure the store you choose has it in stock. Sport checks price is $99.97, and Best Buy beats the price by 10% of the difference making it $92.97 plus tax.

Edit: above link automatically directs to the main page of sportchek and it seems to do that every time I try and add the product link, so if you have trouble finding it just search Fitbit Alta on google and the sport check one for $99.97 should come up first, see image below. From there just go to their website.

Quick summarization: New Fitbit models came out yesterday. This model is now on clearance. The new model replacing this one is the Fitbit Inspire HR at $130. New model is made of cheaper materials but is waterproof and can track swimming. If you don’t care about that, get this model. Thanks OP!

How does this model compare to the Charge 3?

Thanks OP. It's a good deal, and I upvoted, but I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the real deal is that you were able to successfully PM at the Markville Best Buy...

That store is notable for refusing PMs based on anything (i.e. stores not being "authorized retailers," price being "too low.") I'm sure several RFDers can relate from previous threads about the Kingston MicroSD card (Canada Computers) and Destiny 2 (EB Games).

The Fitbit Alta HR looks slicker and better than the newer Inspire HR. The Alta has this nice, simple, minimalist look and even though the Inspire looks similar, it doesn't have the same design (it's wider and looks a bit bulkier).

I've been using the Alta HR for almost a year and think it's great. Been using it for steps and sleep tracking which I think it does a great job.

Battery life is 7 days. I charge it once a week for 2 hours or so.

It doesn't track flights of stairs where I believe the charge does.

Would highly recommend the Alta HR. Bought for $119 on prime day and thought that was excellent value.

Before you buy any Fitbit

The warranty does not cover cracks in the Gorilla Glass which is extremely thin and cracks easily

Just picked up a Fitbit charge 2 for $101.99 at Telus, teal and black colour only. Limited stock but worth call a Telus store to see if they have stock. Sold out online, only available in store. The online stock level for store seems to be accurate for size but it doesn't consider the colour.

Just called in to do the price match... typical BB. It's limited quantities so we can't match it. I even asked where does it say that?!? All I see is "marked down". She called it clearence and said they don't match clearance. They can't make up their minds! Ah well that's OP. I'll give it a shot in store later today.

Really been enjoying this device, took a chance as the price was low. Got it for around 70 from Canadian tire deal around December. Its helped me realize how little I moved at work and great for tracking my sleep.
