[Best Buy] Google Home speakers and Philip's Hue Color A19 bulb

I was at BB today, looks like you can get Philip's hue A19 color bulb for $29.99 when you purchase google speakers.

Google home speaker are already on sale, I believe price is:
Home mini 1st gen: $29
2nd gen: $39
Home original: $69

So on

note that the bulb is next generation, doesn't require bridge for basic adjustments to brightness and colour

So it's better than the ones that were on clearance from Lowe's and other stores a few weeks ago?

better if you don't have or plan to buy a bridge. Without bridge you lose some functionality though

My guess is the non-bluetooth bulbs (requiring bridge) will be discontinued in 2020, so I expect clearance pricing will come

Lowe’s didn’t have the bluetooth version of these bulbs on clearance.

If you want to integrate the new Hue bulbs with older models, with any of the new Hue outdoor luminaires, or with any of the more advanced Hue accessories (e.g., motion sensors, or the new Lutron Aurora dimmer), you’ll need to buy a Hue Bridge anyway.

The BT range is also shorter than Zigbee because of the mesh architecture of the latter. Each zigbee or switch acts a repeater.

Kinda overpriced OP.

If you put $30 for the Home (which realistically is more like $15 based on all the giveaways and sales), the bulb is costing you $30. Too pricey.
