Based on the terms and conditions I read, you pay an initial fee of $69/$89, but are then hit with a $69 early cancellation fee if you cancel anytime before the end of the six months - so you'd have to cancel on the first day of Month 7, and since it takes 30 days to cancel, you'd have to pay for both month 7 and 8 at regular price. So still works out to a better deal but only if they aren't hitting people with early cancellation fees. I'll include the relevant terms below.
This deals been going on for a minute and it seems like some people successfully redeemed and cancelled it with no problems (one guy even got retentions to give him a free radio to not cancel), but I wouldn't put it past Sirius to hit people with the penalties weeks after the fact - based on the contract language, seems like they'd be within their rights.syntaxerror wrote: ↑ That almost doesn't sound legal
