[Best Buy] Hisense 65" 4k UHD HDR QLED Smart TV $899

Hisense 65" 4K UHD HDR QLED Android Smart TV (65Q8G) - 2020 for $899 + $49.99 shipping + $24.70 environmental fee + $126 HST = $1101 delivered to the home.

Pretty reasonable price for a 65" 4K smart TV IMO, has received many positive review (H8G is the american version of this Q8G):

Update 05/04/2021:
Bestbuy seems to have run out of stock and removed this model from its website. As another user pointed out, the 2021 models are being announced tomorrow.

Picked the exact same model and size last summer at vision.ca, 950 because curbside pick up reduces the price by 50 bucks. If you could pick this up it would be better. Do hisense 8g or 9g go on sale during Black Friday?

Also no HDMI 2.1 as far as I know

Tv is excellent and served us well during this pandemic

Mr. Duff secured a Q9G for that price (or less) from the Panel Roulette Emporium (FactoryDirect).

For everyone else, the BB price isn't terrible.
Yeah I haven't heard great things when it comes to FactoryDirect, especially when it comes to TVs and have always steered clear.

I have this tv. The speakers are absolutely awful and it's optical port, for some reason, only outputs stereo. The screen itself is very nice.

Agreed - bought this TV earlier this year from Visions for just under $900. Terrible speakers but screen has been great.

Good piece of information - where'd you see this? And how long until you'd expect the 2020 versions to drop in price following the announcement?

Hi,
Could you elaborate about the speakers?
Im considering this TV, are the speakers that bad that I should get a sound bar?

really? you guys are too picky or had a bad batch ;)
I had 65Q7G and own the 55Q8G. I think the speakers from thoses models are amazing (my rate: 8/10)!! The speakers of my Sony X800H are terrible (I would rate a 4/10)

You don't buy a TV for great sound....

The speakers are probably the least terrible of most flat panel TVs actually, there's a pretty neat feature for sound settings to be set as wall mount. The sound is less awful than my Samsung, with some settings fiddling.

99% of the time I have separate speakers anyways.

did you notice much of an upgrade between the Q7G and Q8G models?

They are identical in every way except for the addition of wide color gamut in the Q8G

Disgusting.

Don't make us feel bad.

Hisense seems to be upping it's game.

This is just a guess but I would imagine the U8G is going to replace the Q9G/H9G and the U7G will replace the Q8G/H8G. I'm just basing this on pricing and specs, if you do a search for "65U8G" it seems like it is going to sell at $1150 US.

Also just found this info on the U6G, this will probably be the entry level ULED so possible replacement for current Q7G?

https://www.hisense-usa.com/tv-and-audi ... rt-tv-2021

It doesn't mention supporting HDMI 2.1 or VRR so I'm going to assume the U6G won't support those...but it does add WCG which the current Q7G does not have and it also says it will have 600 nits peak brightness which is close to the Q7G.

So just a guess but;

Q7G becomes U6G
Q8G becomes U7G
Q9G becomes U8G
