I wonder if this means we have full price protection right into the new year. It would be nice to buy stuff now knowing we can just get price protection during Black Friday and Boxing Day sales.

Happens every year. Keep in mind that they wont do price adjustments on those specific dates (such as boxing day, etc) but you can still purchase the new item at the reduced price and return the first one later.

assuming that the first item that you bought is unused, and you arent just rebuying the item so you can return a brand new one
if not i would consider this fraud

Best Buy won't, normally, price match a Boxing Day or Black Friday sale regardless.

Please note:
Our Lowest Price Guarantee excludes prices on all VIP Sales, Black Friday and Cyber Monday (Nov. 23-30, 2017), and Boxing Day & Week (Dec. 24, 2017-Jan. 4, 2018).
Prices matches will not be processed on Nov. 24, 2017, and Dec. 26, 2017. Stores in Sault St Marie (Ontario), and all stores in Quebec and Atlantic provinces will not be able to process price matches on Dec. 27, 2017.

**the point is that youre protected up until christmas.

Thanks.

Do you know if that's standard practice at other stores also?

If I buy a Google Home Max today from BB and it goes on sale on Black Friday at BB, can I adjust?

Is the Extended Price Matching Policy differ from the Lowest Price Guarantee?

Before you bump a thread with a question, maybe you should actually read the thread you're bumping to see if the question has been answered. In this case, it has been,

No it hasn't

The Lowest Price Guarantee excludes BF/BD. I'm assuming deals from other retailers.

But the Extended Price Matching Policy is until Jan 6th and makes no mention of BF/BD. Are these different policies?

There is no extended price matching policy.

But you can do this:

It's literally on their website here: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/help/lowes ... c1001.aspx
Extended Price Matching Policy
For items purchased after November 2nd, we’ll gladly give you a price adjustment on your purchases until Jan. 6, 2019 OR 30 days from purchase date, whichever is longer.
