[Best Buy] HOT! Koodo iPhone 8 64GB $0 Tab Medium + $200 GC

NEW ACTIVATIONS ONLY, EXISTING KOODO CUSTOMERS CAN OPEN A SECONDARY LINE

Figured I'd start a new thread for the iPhone 8 deal since it's buried in the other Bestbuy F&F thread. The other sales are meh.

KOODO iPhone 8 64GB $0 Med tab ($360)
$35 activation fee
$200 BB GC

Works out to ~$250 all-in if you get a prepaid MC or offload the GC.

Stock may go fast with flippers. Could try PMing London Drugs/Wal-Mart depending on where you live.

Please do your research if you are new to Koodo deals

Any point in doing this to flip the phone on a small tab? (+$120)

Probably not. Looks like the GC is only with medium tabs.

Will wait for WOW to match. That way I can potentially drop to Tab Small and apply the $50 trade in credit and still get a GC (but YMMV)
I love RFD! :)

With the medium tab worth $360, does that mean I can pay $360 (plus whatever associated fees) and own the phone outright? So total cost at around $600?

TMS does not have any pts offer ATM. They may match it later.

TMS does not let me to pay down my tab down to $10 remaining on any Apple phone and still get pts. I asked before and no luck. Therefore, even TMS matches with 200k pts, you still need to get a medium tab plan. For this reason, I will skip iPhone 8 as I want small tab on a $25 plan to stay for 90 days. You may want to buy and cancel the next day. But it is not for me.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $36 5GB, $12 250MB, 2x $6 50min/50text, Zoomer $36 4GB plan,
Fido $5 4GB plan with a free tablet, $0 FPL home phone.

Yes, but opening a second line works the same. Will update OP.

I saw in your sig that you have a Zoomer plan. I was looking at them as I search for a better choice than Rogers that will work for US & Canada. We're in the US for 4 months in the winter and the RoamLikeHome has gotten too expensive now (was 50$/mo when we started). I don't see anything on Zoomer that would give any reasonable amount of data, talk or anything as we currently have 4x 10gb & 65$ plans.

I think you have to wait three months to cancel the second line, and minimum plan payment you can choose is $65, so the $195 you'd have to pay for three months negates the $200 GC.

Secondly, if you close your current line and just keep the new line (and presumably new number?), you have to choose a new plan, and cannot keep the plan you had.

This is what I was told today at Bestbuy, hope none of this information is wrong!

1. Zoomer US roaming is expensive too. https://www.zoomerwireless.ca/addons#addons-tab-travel
2. Public Mobile has a $60 plan per 30 days cycle with 8GB Canada data and 2GB US data + unlimited talk&text in Canada and US.

How do you get a prepaid Visa/MC with this deal? They are only giving out BB GCs when you pick up the phone?

But my credit score is tanking.
I think it is a good idea to lay low for a bit.
