It's a hair better than the n4000. This is a slow laptop. Do not buy. Shoot for a R3 3200U

So far I am happy. Installed office, adobe CS and couple of other programs. Comparable to my previous Acer i5, 6GB RAM laptop.

They have 3200U in $499 but I just saved $100. I thought it might be ok for routine office and photoshop etc

Do not buy, the screen is horrible. The CPU is slow.
Just save up for another $100 and aim for a modern CPU and screen, and a SSD. That would be a good deal for sub of $500. Just wait, it will come.

Agreed, just checked the benchmark on that cpu, it's awful.

HDD instead of SSD, 1.6 gHZ AMD processor, 5.5 hours of battery time...

It's not that good for $400, there was a deal earlier this month at Dell with significantly better specs for $500 - I'd suggest others to save up for a better laptop, don't go cheap on a laptop.

I have edited it.

But my thread is irrelevant as price has gone up now. That was the reason I picked the wrong link.

Any good back to school laptop deals? Sis is entering university and while my ancient T410 with SSD blow current -$350 laptops out of the water in speed, it's just old and I want to upgrade her
