[Best Buy] iPad Pro 12.9" 128gb WIFI 4th gen + magic keyboard + screen protector $1399.99

This seems like a traditional thing done by bestbuy. Very good deal because it's the 12.9 and the official magic keyboard.

Apple BTS with M1 seems a lot better and ends up cheaper, but with some effort

12.9-inch display
Liquid Retina XDR display
$1279

Sell AirPods
-$150

Smart Keyboard Folio for iPad Pro 12.9" (4th Gen)
$269.99 - $121.5 (SDM offer stacking)

= $1278

The magic keyboard is way better then the folio and I doubt AirPods would sell for that much

Smart Keyboard Folio is not the same as the magic keyboard.

Ah, you are right

Still, it comes to be only about $100-150 more to get the M1

Smart folio is a hot garbage, one of the worst Apple product. Where Magic keyboard is second only to latest MB’s, it totally transforms the iPad. Smart folio is so shitty that sellers throw it either free or for $50 along with an iPad in Facebook marketplace.

Would not suggest buying this, you are getting $400 worth accessories in $1400 package. But an older gen iPad is not worth $1000+tax on its own. MBA M1 or newer M1 iPad either refurb or educational pricing is much better value.

Agreed. Valid consideration.

After owning a magic keyboard for 2 months on my gen 3 iPad pro that i’ve owned for 2.5 years…. Im the first one surprised of how accurate “totally transforms the iPad” is.

I acquired a refurbished 3rd gen 12.9 the day the 4th gen came out, close to 1.5 year ago. Paired it with a Zugu case and a glass protector and found a lightly used pen locally. This little combo just went through months of flying to and from the field daily, sparing me from carrying hundreds of pages of plans and documents and allowing me to write thousands of pages of reports without using the stupid photocopier/printer once. It’s been a blast to always have answers to every plan related questions at my fingertip and always having the right form for reports without messing around with papers. Every night I’d come ‘home’ and use it as a TV, for most of the year the screen on time was over 10 hours a day. The battery still feels fresh as new and gets through the day easily (looking at you, new iPhone 12 with only a half decent battery life). Started playing a mobile game on it (AoV), this thing is so capable I honestly wouldn’t worry about M1 or not.

My M1 MacBook is relatively slow, apps take a long time to load, but my 3rd gen A12X Ipad Pro? Never a single slowdown ever. Upgrading it to a 4th or 5th gen would be a waste. I see myself using it years from now.

I didn't think I could sell airpods for 150$ either but after less than a week I did. And I'm not the only one.

That was about 2 weeks ago.

Unless you have very specific reason for such an expensive iPad (such as drawing with pen), you better off get a Macbook Air M1. Not trying to judge, but I tried very hard to replace a laptop with an iPad pro without success. Doesn't matter if you have the apple pencil and keyboard, the OS is what cripple the whole thing and of course its file management too. So, for most typical people, Macbook Air is the way to go.

I think user is referring to if you owned the first keyboard and moved on to magic it’s night and day.

Owning both I would say it’s inbetween.

the new ipad pro is a better product objectively speaking. apple hasn't cared about doing anything innovative with their laptops in years. i wouldn't spend top dollar on old Apple products though.

The iPad is a worse product objectively speaking because it is a tablet running a mobile OS and not a laptop.

If you care at all about productivity and overall functionality that is.
