Great price but a warning if you're planning on buying AppleCare (if it's anything like the best buy open box apple watch experience I had)
Apple will only allow you to buy AppleCare if you're within the ORIGINAL purchase date window for buying AppleCare, not your bestBuy purchase window

The 8 Plus 256GB is $1,269 from Apple so it's really only a $70 savings from a brand new one from Apple directly. On the 8 Plus 64GB, it's really a $159 savings instead of $190. Am I missing something or is Best Buy's original price higher?

Seems like it, I'm seeing $929 for the iPhone 8 64GB on Apple's site and 799.99 on Best Buy's. So really it's only a $130 discount.

This was a major customer complaint at launch; that Best Buy's price was higher than MSRP. Their rationale was 'supply and demand'.

You can get the iphone 8 64GB for $700 through Koodo right now, of course you have to signup and then cancel and pay off the tab. Depends if an extra $100 is worth the "hassle" to you. Took me 30 minutes at the wow mobile kiosk and then 5 minutes on the phone to cancel.

- if the phone is working
- has all the accessories
But since you can easily return it to Best Buy, could be non-issue.

I wouldn't risk getting a phone DOA from Best Buy. Their customer service is a little lacking. Reports of people ordering Ring doorbell, and them sending the wrong model and it being a pain in the ass for them to fix it.

Removed Headphone jack, made phone faster which wouldn't be necessary if they were not intentionally slowing down phones, wireless charging....forgive me if i am missing something but that fall under the "uhhh ya ill pass" category for me.

Uhh tell me what's new? The processor and maybe a slightly better camera, but everything else worse like redswagdeals mentioned and no 3rd party support because everything has to be done through Itunes or a Macbook all for the price of a roundtrip to Europe and back? Yea I'll pass... I have a hard time justifying 500 dollars for a phone, let alone almost 1000, especially when there's almost nothing new about it

Funny thing is i'm currently using a iPhone 6S and have been in the iPhone ecosystem for 8 years or so. The innovation from 2010-2015 was amazing. Like i remember the jump to recording video in HD i remember that making me wanted an iPhone 5? i think? But nowadays they have gotten super lazy and not very creative/innovative. Sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade...

Maybe head on over to an actual review of the iPhone 8 and compare it to an iPhone 6s. You have missed a few changes that some users find important.
