Ordered one of these. We’ll see how well it works. The reviews are good.

This video shows a quick comparison of the Roomba 6 series and talks more about the 695 series, which i believe is quite similar to 675 model.

Neato D4 is better in my opinion

I do not recommend random-route robot if you have more than 3 rooms or >700 m2.
Get a route-planning model like iRobot 700 series or newer, Neato, Roborock.
You won't see huge differences in performance if you have hard floor, but you want to choose a powerful one if you have lots of carpet.

Great video comparison here:

I just sent back a Roborock S4 as it had trouble navigating as well as finding the dock. For me, these things aren't quite ready for prime time yet.

So is this a good buy or is the conclusion that random routing robots are no good?

Also wondering the same thing. I hate doing returns.

I have a random one and there is no way it can find its way into every room. I lock it up in one room at a time, if you're ok with that you can save some money and get a random one, but if you expect it to clean your whole house without any help from you then you will have to get one with mapping.

I had a Roomba random, I believe it was the 675 sometimes it would bounce around a very small area in part of a room then dock again.. usually died in the middle of a room without docking.

Last year, bought a deebot which is also random but cleans in a more lined path. It sucks. It misses a lot, it dies randomly. Never again will I do random.

Random robots have their use cases: If I had a one or two bedroom condo, I wouldn't waste money on a mapping robot.

Neato seems to do some very good robots but reliability seems their weakness.
Pourquoi pas?
