If I only want the phone, will Koodo's tab medium be a better deal?

Can I get Koodo to unlock the phone right away? So I get the phone, call Customer Service to cancel and unlock, wait for the final bill, and pay off? (Sorry, I've never done this before.)

P.S. It seems I can save some extra if I do a trade-in through WOW?

I do not see the deal, just the plain old $ 270 on tab large, which amounts to regular price of $ 775 in total.

There was indeed a deal last weekend. I don’t remember if it was $ 0 on tab large, but it was offered at $ 120 on tab medium ( $ 480 total ). I went to a Koodo kiosk on Tuesday to buy one only to be told that the sale ended that very morning and a similar deal on that model is TBD. Back to their regular sales on discontinued models.
