How annoying is the flickering light on this one? I hate that about these jump drives when I use them in a device with a forward facing USB port, we don't need them to be beacon ffs.

Word of warning on these S75 drives, look carefully on the packaging before buying. There are 2 manufacturers used (Micron and Longsys).

If it says Lexar "by Micron" (usually under the title) you are good to go, if its just Lexar with "Longsys" in small print elsewhere on the package you should avoid it!

I picked up a few of them and thought I got a few duds, some performed horrible (slow burst write and lock up for a few seconds, then another burst then lock up etc...) while others read and wrote consistently.

I then did some research and noticed the ones which were terrible were all from the Longsys packaging. I returned them and grabbed ones only with Micron packaging.

Edit: Some pictures from a quick image search to show what I mean:

Notice Longsys at the top left and nothing under the Lexar logo:

Nvm cancelled the order. They’re all longsys. The micron are not available.

Longsys has bad reviews all over. Avoid it

The 128GB S57 is also available next week for the same price if you prefer a different design. Not sure if there's a big performance difference though but it looks a lot nicer.

Longsys acquired the Lexar brand from Micron and that Lexar is a company owned by Longsys, a Chinese company
https://www.lexar.com/longsys-acquired- ... e-company/

I guess only old stock will be ones from Micron
R.I.P. Lexar

Good info. I stopped using Lexar drives. They always had problems. I am using now Kingston and HP. Not failed yet. for me at least.
