[Best Buy] LG 27UL550 - $399 - 4K 27" Monitor 60 Hz

One of the best 4K Monitors out there for the price.

The LG 27UK650 is the best monitor in the 4K category on rtings.com.

The difference that I can see between that and the LG 27UL550 is the brightness being slightly lower on the 27UL550 300 Nits vs 350 Nits on the 27UK650 and a thicker bezel on the 27UL550.

IPS, Color Calibrated and Anti-glare which are all plusses as well.

UK650 also has 99% sRGB color gamut whereas the UL550 is 95-98%.

60 Hz however - so not the best for fast movement gaming. 5 MS response time makes more casual gaming possible, however.

I've been eyeing this one for a while so I grabbed one this morning.

Is anyone able to use 27" 4k panels at 1:1 scale for productivity work? Trying to figure out if my eyes are failing me, or whether 27" is too small for 4k 1:1 scaling.

...and how is "60Hz 5ms" being classified as gaming monitor (in 2019)? What games is this for? Chess?

Perhaps their logic is that no one has a PC capable of driving 4K in most games over 60 FPS even in 2019, therefore this is a gaming monitor. Face With Tears Of Joy

I think 125% scaling is better. 100% is insane lol.

I bought this excellent monitor in November 2018 and paid $547 on Amazon. Connected exclusively on xbox x and PS4 Pro and I play BO4 every day with no issues whatsoever. I also play Forza Horizon on the X and Gran Turismo on PS4 with no problem and good frame rates.

This is a great deal for this great monitor.

Playing on console is setting the bar pretty low though. Just saying.

For non-gamers is this still a good a deal? I’ll primarily be using this to watch movies and edit photos

This is a definite sleeper.

If you're going to go 4K60, at least go 32" at this price.

It's been said before, though.

Thank you nonetheless, OP.

I'd say so! The color accuracy is pretty good out of the box and overall a very clear panel that's hard to beat for all-round use is my opinion.

Yes, for whatever reason they had this same one listed at that price but didn't receive any yet. This monitor could possibly fall further perhaps in light of that.
