[Best Buy] LG 86" 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV (86UM8070AUB) - $3499.99 ($1000 off)

I was looking for a larger TV and came across this LG 2019 model. It’s NOT the new Nano cell version, but appears to be a good price for anyone looking for a larger 4K screen.

Many retailers have it on sale - Best Buy, Visions, Leons, Amazon - for the same price, so suspect LG is offering the discount.

I’m hoping for Costco Canada to carry this soon at a similar price, because they offer the best extended warranty but Costco doesn’t have this yet. Costco US does have this on their website.

Hope this helps for anyone looking for a larger television.

Also to add - Best Buy offers a free Elite Service package (according to them, valued at 430$) which features a free fixed mount, delivery, and installation including mounting. I still prefer to purchase from Costco (because of the cheap 5 year extended warranty) but this Best Buy perk makes the offer more attractive vs. other retailers.

Wow, cool. I know very little about this TV, but since I missed the Samsung NU8000 82" deal in Feb for $3000, this seems to be the next best thing. I'll look it up on rtings and see how it stacks up.

OP, go in to best buy and they will match the warranty deal or give you more money off the tv. I do this with my BB rep all the time.

Will not hurt to ask.

Thanks for the suggestion. The Costco 5 -year warranty on this TV will be $99.99 plus tax, whereas the Best Buy similar warranty is $819 (4 years) plus tax. But as you stated, it won't hurt to ask. Thanks again. Cheers.

If you're looking for a wall-size TV for less than a decent used car, you've found it here. Miles better than the 100" Haier 4K TV for $10,000.

At 86", pixels are the size of ladybugs at 4K... I exaggerate only slightly.

You'll want to be 6 to 10 feet out, minimum... and that's if you're using it as a monitor (there's a king among men out there who will).

I guess we'll be looking for an 8K set in 18 months when both the PS5 and Xbox Scarlet are released. We know for sure that Scarlet will be 8K 120 Hz compatible. How much is one of those sets now though?

I have a pc with parts mainly from 2010, on a 26 inch ultra wide. I get amazed by 1080p in 60fps still :P (this is also where I watch my tv and movies).

Wow, lots of misinformation.

Project Scarlet will support 8K and 120Hz, not both at the same time.

Current speculation is:
1080p120 Gaming
4K60 Gaming
8K30/60 Native Video and Upscaled Gaming

No consumer graphics card pushes 8K60 gaming, there's no chance you'll see support for native high fidelity 8K60 gaming by Christmas 2020.
