[Best Buy] Logitech C920S Pro 1080p HD Webcam - $79.99

This is one of the better name brand webcams I've encountered, and it's on sale at BestBuy down from $100 (sometimes priced higher from different outlets).

The sister unit, the Logitech C920x, is available for the same price from Amazon.ca but it seems to lack the camera lid.

Good price for a good webcam. I think I paid $130 for this same webcam at the height of the pandemic lockdowns last year and have been pretty happy with it.

No 4k here and poor low light performance, but otherwise a good product.

Honestly if it's just Zoom meetings to talk about TPS reports, just buy any $20 one off Amazon. But if the Man is paying, this is a pretty good cam - I have both types.

If someone could link a good cheaper alternative, that'd be great.

Try the Staples Webcam with the $10 off new mailing list registration coupon.

Potentially $69.99.

Dell's 10% only works on Dell branded products.

Just use your phone, skip the camera.

Software like DroidCamApp allows you to connect your pc to your Andriod phone camera.

Wouldn't use my primary phone for convenience and battery wear (from leaving it plugged in), but definitely a good use for an old phone.

Thanks, didn't know about that. Great way to repurpose an older phone. I bought the C920S from the other thread for $69.99 through newegg.ca yesterday (sold out now though)

Update: Looked into DroidCamApp (reviews look pretty bad for it) and supposedly Iriun is an alternative that is significantly better than DroidCam. Best app for $8 USD is EpocCam Pro :)

Does anyone have experience with the C930e and I wonder how it compares to this? The C930e has wider angle, Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and noise-cancelling microphones, and UVC 1.5. I just don't know if all of this makes any difference compared to the C920.

Depends, for things like Zoom doubt you'll want to show more of your background. Mic basically the same, picture quality looks a little better. If serious about audio get a cheap external mic, will be miles better.

Logitech says the C920 mics are not noise-cancelling. Do you know if SVC produces and real-life advantage?
