Yes, as I noted, the model numbers on the box + on the mouse itself match the 2S.

Are there any other telltale markers that don't involve taking a screwdriver and ripping the mouse apart?
Sorry, I'm not that good in that direction. It was an impulse buy for me :D, that I don't regret.

I think the only way to see if it's really 2S is by opening it. I'm not sure if there is any software able to read the hardware.

I just picked up my reservation today. I don't like the mouse to be honest, it's jerky and less precise than my old wired one. Also it doesn't work ergonomically for me. Going to be returning it!

Anyone else find it annoying that the scroll wheel kinda clunks around when you scroll quick and then stop?

I calculated 2400dpi by that method. That's pretty far from 4000. Anyone else try the dpi analyzer?

That's higher than the spec for the MX Master... Logitech says the max is 1600.

https://support.logitech.com/en_us/prod ... ster/specs

I'm still trying to get the Logitech software installed so I can up the DPI... at defaults, I get 381 DPI on that test.

Can't you just check if it is the MX 2S by seeing it Flow works? The feature that allows you to use the mouse over 2 screens on 2 different computers?

Yes, that's intentional, to stop the freescroll.

You might need to install an older version of the software to get it to work.

I think 2200-2400 is within the margin of error of 1600.

Nice. Thanks, dude. You'd have to remove the battery too to look at the sensor, but no pressure. Looks like some parts are shared, but not the battery.
