Apparently these go to standby mode every 20 minutes regardless if something is playing if you decide to use the 3.5mm jack.

It does say "Standby mode kicks in after 20 minutes of inactivity to save power" on the product page but didnt know it'd still do that if I'm plugged to it via 3.5mm jack..damn that's a killer for me

It's due to a signal threshold issue. Their 'official' solution is maxing the source device's volume (i.e. the volume in Windows/MacOS), then controlling the actual volume through the speakers themselves. Not sure what the success rate is on that though
